« There seems to be no mobile phone coverage at the County Lodge Carnforth.
When I arrived at 8.30pm 25/5 the door was locked shut, the place was in darkness and a note attached to the door said to phone a mobile number to gain code keys and access BUT their number failed to ring. Tried multiple times, including 100m away in 3 directions. A landline number was given on the accommodation door, this also failed to ring. « The staff were attentive to our needs. We ate there on the second night of our stay. They food was lovely and hot when served. We did not wait for too long from ordering to getting our food. There were limitations on what we could have both on the food and drink side due to delivery issues. « We were made to feel welcome on arrival, the pub is very old with plenty of character, the room was basic but adequate.
The bar had a good choice of beers including reel ale.
