Une nuit à Würzburg
Proche du centre ville fort sympathique.Hôtel qui commence à dater mais très bien tenu et propre.Chambre spacieuse, calme mais la literie est trop souple et les rideaux n'occultent pas beaucoup la lumière extérieure. Petit déjeuner de bonne qualité, copieux et varié

Sehr hübsches Zimmer in guter Lage für einen angemessenen Preis. Die Toilette hat nicht unseren Anforderungen entsprochen (Geräusche, Geruch) zudem war ganztägig ein undefinierbares knacken zu hören, was die Erholung und unsere Zufriedenheit gemindert hat.

We only stayed for one night but we had a very friendly welcome at check-in. The room was equipped in traditional style (don`t expect mordern, reduced room style) and very clean. A bit outdated maybe but as expected from a traditional family owned city-hotel. We booked for breakfast and I have to admit that I haven`t expected such a huge selection buffet breakfast. It was extraordinary considering the price (April 24: 13,50€ per person). The location itself is perfect. In the middle of the city center in walking distance to the Residenz (app. 400m) and the pedestrian zone. The famous "Bürgerspital" (vinery, restaurant, wine tastings,...) is just around the corner. The hotel can offer reduced parking fee for the parking garage (50m from the hotel). Not sure if it was because we stayed during the weekend, but the Ludwigstrasse, where the hotel is located, was very quiet with very few traffic. We will definitely come back when we are visiting Würzburg the next time.

Das Zimmer war klein und etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Auch das Badezimmer war klein, aber sauber. Das Frühstücksbuffet für 13€ war ausreichend, aber nicht mehr. Ich hätte mir zumindest Körnerbrötchen gewünscht - die waren aber wohl schon um 9.30 Uhr morgens aus. Man kann gegen Gebühr im nahegelegenen Theaterparkhaus parken und ist ziemlich schnell zu Fuß in der Innenstadt. Das Hotel ermöglicht einen reduzierten Tagestarif im Parkhaus. Das ist auch nett.

Perfekt gelegenes Hotel für einen Theaterbesuch, oder als Ausgangspunkt in die Stadtmitte. Sehr freundliches Personal. Das Hotel ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber zweckmäßig und sehr sauber. Parkmöglichkeit gibt es im nahegelegenen Parkhaus neben dem Theater für 13€ die Nacht. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Dated room. One socket isn't enough when people need to charge phones. Walls so thin that conversations in the next room can be heard easily - bring ear plugs. Refurbished bathroom was a positive. Expensive room for what it was.

The location is amazing,, the room was clean and quiet and comfortable,, there was no free parking even if they said that in their description,, I parked in a paid parking garage nearby,, you need to book for the breakfast in exact time and that’s possible if you don’t know when you’re going to wake up so I didn’t like that

I had a lovely solo stay at Hotel Amberger. It’s a well-maintained, peaceful, and clean old-style hotel with courteous staff and delicious breakfast. The train station and city centrum are easily accessible on foot in 10-15 min. And I loved that there was a nice Italian restaurant immediately next door that is open daily until 10 pm, past many other restaurants‘ closing times. I think Hotel Amberger may be my favorite of the affordable and centrally located hotels I have tried in Würzburg.

Super schönes Zimmer und relativ grosses Bad. Die Damen an der Reception äusserst freundlich und sehr zuvorkommend. Sogar scheinbar unmögliches wird ermöglicht ;) Das Frühstücksbüffet grosszügig und variantenreich. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Im Sommer zu warm, ansonsten angenehmes Hotel
- hübscher Altbau mit hohen Decken auch im Zimmer - Innenleben nicht neu, aber sympathisch und gut gepflegt; gemütliche Atmosphäre auf den Zimmern dank Teppich und Holz statt Vinyl und Furnier - ruhig durch starke Doppelfenster zur Straße sowie eine Doppeltür in Richtung Flur - Sauberkeit: guter Standard - bequeme Matratze, angenehme Bettbezüge - nettes italienisches Restaurant direkt nebenan, ansonsten Snack-/Getränkeautomat im Foyer - der kleine Kühlschrank im Zimmer gefällt - Zimmer heizt sich im heißen Würzburger Sommer leider stark auf; an Schlaf ist erst nach Dauerlüften bis zwei, drei Uhr nachts zu denken; Bettdecken sind auch nicht der Jahreszeit angepasst - In die Fensterrahmen ist eine dreistufige Lüftung verbaut, wodurch man zwar die Außengeräusche aussperren und trotzdem lüften kann, aber leise ist der Lüfter auch nicht. - Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit - Zimmerreinigung kommt standardmäßig nicht, lässt sich auf Wunsch aber arrangieren - Frühstück nicht zu beurteilen, da nicht gebucht

The hotel is close to the center, very close to the Residenz (palace). There is a bus stop close by but it is also possible to walk from the center in 15 minutes. We had a room with three beds, it was very large and nice with a good view (it was on the 5th floor) and complimentary coffee. It was nicer than expected. Breakfast was very good and worth its price, with some table service and partly buffet.Staff was nice and friendly.

When we checked into the room it was very hot and stuffy. We opened the window and left to explore town. Coming back we had to close the window because of City noise. Immediately the room became hot and stuffy again. I asked the night porter if ventilation could be improved and he told me that the ventilation system would only be blowing hot air at this time. There was no option to move to a cooler room. We spent a miserable night in a hot and stuffy room, too noisy outside to keep the window open. In addition, there was a very noisy party going on all night. In the morning we went to the reception to check out of the Hotel because we did not want to spend a second sleepless night. We pointed out that the room was unbearably hot, without any air circulating. The receptionist told us that we should have known that the Hotel does not have air conditioning when we booked the room. She could not cancel the second night because it was booked through Expedia. When we mentioned the noisy party, the receptionist told us that we should have complained about this during the night, and that other customers already had complained as well. Besides, she said, the party happened in the building next door and was not their responsibility. Despite having a night porter, the Hotel management expects guests to find out where noise comes from and how to end it. Customer service is poor, obviously not a priority in this Hotel.
