I held off with a review because I've never done a negative one. This location is great but the property is neglected and was a "downer" relative to expectations. I'm a home contractor and I know what it takes to maintain a place in sharp condition. The very first impression was the entry door, which is falling apart and is an "inswing" door that effectively blocks the very small entry landing at the very steep (and possibly code violating) stair. Because of this the whole family had to take off our boots and gear outside first or try one at a time to sit on a step of the stair to be able to put things on a tiny bench (he calls this the "warming" area) inside the door. In spite of its' small size the drying out area could be effective if the wall heater there actually worked. But it's been disabled as one can see since the control above has been removed and a cover plate installed. So our coats, pants, boots, socks, etc. remained wet and cold every day unless we brought them up by the fireplace. (which he warns against) to dry. It would be a cost but pretty easy to just replace the entry door with an outswing door as has been done on other units nearby.
There are so many things I could write about but I'll just pick one other to try and keep this shorter. The hot tub was enjoyable after we succeeded in forcing open the sliding door to the deck. This door is also in disrepair and you might be able to open it if you're a linebacker! (I've run out of writing space now)
