A group of baseball families stayed at this hotel while in Waycross for a baseball tournament nearby. When arriving in our room, I noticed a musty smell almost as if the carpets had gotten wet and were giving off a sour smell. We would only be staying one night so it wasn't worth making a big fuss about. As soon as my son opened up the lid to the toilet, there were drain flies that flew out. We pulled out the couch bed and there were no sheets or other covers in the room for that bed. There were also shells of pistachio nuts that someone had left behind from a previous stay. It was clear that the housekeeping personnel did not bother to clean this area. The breakfast was fine and the kids enjoyed it. Another family with our group stayed two nights at this hotel. The mother noticed bed bug bites all over her body after their stay. I work in healthcare and I know the procedures that are required when treating for bed bugs. This room should have never been given to anyone until it had been fumigated. I will certainly not be staying at this hotel again.

The pool was not available which is why we booked this hotel. No communication prior to arrival the pool was not open and no discount given for the inconvenience.

It was clean. There was a situation where another guest a few rooms down had a dog who barked continuously. Our room was quite noisy. We could hear traffic and trains and guests and employees talking constantly. The breakfast provided was quite scant in my opinion. The Drury Hotels have a much better and varied offering. When we went to check out, the elevator wasn’t working. There was only one guest elevator. We had to carry our luggage down the stairs for the first load. The stairs weren’t located centrally but off to the side of the building. We managed to find someone who worked the front desk. She grabbed a set of keys and said she knew what to do. We had to wait while she found the right key to get into a room to locate the problem. It sounded as if she flipped a switch. She did something and then said that now the elevator would work. Obviously this was a known problem. A non-working elevator in a small hotel should not be allowed for safety reasons. We will not be going back to that hotel again.

Location was great for what we had going on. Only thing I can say was the bathroom had a terrible mildew smell and the shower had a dirt ring on the floor. Also, when i got into the shower it was so slick i had to grab the bar to avoid falling. Chemicals they used to clean it was still on it. The pillows are way too small for adults. Four pillows equal the size of one large pillow. Other than that, it was a good stay.

Two major concerns. I was charged a deposit of $440.27 when the room was already paid for in full prior to my arrival. I’ve made several requests for an explanation but have yet to receive one. I requested service on 2 different occasions. Neither time was the request fulfilled. One was for room service and the other was for fresh bath linens. I was told that I had to carry wet and dirty bath linens down to the front desk in order to get fresh linens

no complaints, the rooms were clean, the staff was professional, the breakfast food was very good. This was our second stay and would stay again. I slept comfortably, meaning the mattress was comfortable.

Smaller rooms than previous hotels we’ve stayed. Unfolded towel had been left in the bathroom. Pillows are super flat so they’re folded into square pillows which then also makes them really small. Heavily touched areas still had fingerprints, etc on them. Tv didn’t work right. Our room door didn’t shut all the way unless pushed. Staff was nice tho

The room was clean and the hotel is nice overall. The bathroom was a bit worn and the shower drained very slowly. Standing in ankle-deep water is not ideal while showering.

It was not worth the money we paid very basic nothing to rave about. Could use a fresher up. The hall way smelled good I like that. Breakfast was nice too.

The property was dirty and needed a deep clean. My Tv didn’t work because someone had stolen the HDMI cord. Staff did fix the tv only to realize the remote didn’t work so I had to change Chanel’s by hand. Under the bed was filthy. And there were no safety strips in the shower.

I want to be very careful with my review. The stay at the hotel was excellent. I was booked into my room timely and the room was tidy. I was able to book out in a timely manner. I lost a Nintendo Switch console in my room which I recognize is my fault. Hotel staff located the switch and returned it to me. This would have been amazing except an SD card with a majority of the games had been removed prior to shipment. This would have been an excellent experience except for the dishonesty of one staff member. I don’t want to penalize other staff members with a negative review because of this as my experience overall was good but I do feel it should be reflected in my review.

The staff were particularly kind and gracious. Very welcoming. Went out of their way to make us fresh coffee when we arrived.
