Two very good nights in Tel Aviv

Publié le 18 sept. 2014
Les + : The size, comfort, and cleanliness of the room. The location next to the shops&restaurants in what used to be the TelAviv harbor. The rich breakfast.
Les - : Parking. Hotel guests have to use nearby parking lots which tend to be crowded over weekends and in evenings, when people come to the Tel Aviv Harbor.
Situation : Tel Aviv harbor shops, cafes & restaurants. The Yarkon river and Park Hayarkon. Most Tel Aviv attractions are minutes away by car, taxi, or bikes.
Stayed at the Alexander Hotel in Tel Aviv in late August 2014. Comfortable rooms. Great location. Friendly staff. Very good breakfast. We'll come back.

looks better inside than out

Publié le 16 juin 2014
I was not completely happy with the room. It had no closets/cupboards for my clothes, there was no tub as advertised and the lay out was strange. it was also very noisy in during the day. apart from that the room was comfortable. the internet is good. the buffet breakfast was great and the staff were very friendly and helpful. plus the location is just right next to the beach. I loved the lobby which looks like a comfortable library with the bar right next to it. I liked having access to the gym as well

Nice smaller hotel near beach

Publié le 6 juin 2014
Les + : Very good look, nice bar in lobby. Room was bright and modern. Refrig., microwave.
Les - : Get rid of the square pillows.
Situation : Beach, Old Port bars and restaurants. Short walk to a market and Dizengoff St.
Stayed here my final two nights on a longer trip to Israel. Found it to be clean and comfortable. Only a few minute walk to beach and Port. Staff was accommodating in providing a late check out (7pm)

Great location & service, excellent breakfast

Publié le 27 mai 2014 sur Hotels.com
Good size rooms, nice comfy beds with high quality linen. Nespresso machines in the room is a nice touch - more capsules would be handy. Best feature of the hotel is the rooftop restaurant/bar where breakfast is served, great place to start the day, lovely views & vibe (and really good food).

Trying too hard to be hip

Publié le 16 avr. 2014
Les + : The location is good and the room was spacious (we had a two-bedroom suite for family of four.)
Les - : Service, service, service. The staff across the board was not attentive and several downright surly. We didn't ask for anything special.
I had really expected more from the description. The staff was very inattentive and surly when we checked in, even worse when we returned from dinner, and checking out the next morning. The room was nice -- uber hip with mirrors all over and not that high quality furniture, but spacious and very comfortable. Breakfast was good though difficult to get anyone to serve us coffee. Door attendant when we came back in the evening was so sour, it was almost like he was acting. We were told earlier that the hotel parking was full but to check when we returned from dinner, and when we did the staff seemed very reluctant to be of any help. We also were not told that there was an extra parking charge, which appeared on our bill the next morning, even though the website says "no hidden charges"! Upon checking out in the morning, there was a group of girls in miniskirts totally drunk in the lobby having a loud argument with their male friend -- again, so bad it was almost like a scene from a bad movie. Then we were told we were undercharged and had to pay more (we booked with Expedia for four persons, but the hotel said the reservation they received was for two. We chose the hotel in large part for the cost -- a two-bedroom was less expensive, we thought, than two rooms elsewhere or so we thought.)

Favorite hotel in Tel Aviv

Publié le 22 févr. 2014
Situation : The best sushi restaurant in Tel Aviv (in my opinion) is 4 blocks away: Fu Sushi.
I have stayed in Tel Aviv several times and at several hotels, and this one is my favorite. Great location: next to the beach, close to the port within a few blocks of several excellent restaurants. Great infrastructure: spacious suites with kitchenette facilities; fabulous fitness center; top-floor restaurant with excellent views. And just a bit hip -- but not so much that I feel out of place. The staff are almost uniformly pleasant and willing to go the extra mile. Looking forward to my next stay there.
