Perfection in the details
After traveling for 40 days throughout Croatia and Montenegro, this hotel stood out as one of our favorites. Good design is not only beautiful, it functions well. This is the one hotel that delivers on both fronts. Situated perfectly across from Sveti with it's own sandy beach, terrific restaurant and amazing staff. Our dinner on the outdoor patio was one of our best meals of the month, while the breakfast buffet offers everything you would want to wake up to. I highly recommend Hotel California for your stay.

Great room with a view
My wife and I had a great stay here. Our room had a brilliant view of sveti Stefan. The staffs were friendly and the breakfast was also really good. Only downside was that the restaurant wasn't fully functional and had only drinks and not lunch or dinner but they said it will open soon with lunch and dinner service. However there is a restaurant in just 2-3mins walk via the beach.

It's not a 5 star hotel at least not a 5 star service. they are not happy to receive guests or not trained enough to be kind and welcoming. it is poorly managed and hopefully people that expect 5 star experience don't fall under this hotels trap like I did.

Near perfect.
We spent two nights here as part of a longer trip into Balkans and had a great time. Located so conveniently at the beach overlooking Sveti Stefan. The front desk was excellent. Thank you Nadja. The only tiny disappointments we had was that the family room we reserved was kind of small and finding parking at the property was painful. A visible signage to the attached parking lot would be so helpful and the parking attendant actually being there would also come handy. However, these are not deal breakers for coming back and enjoying Sveti Stefan. We were in other parts of Montenegro during our trip, but this is their only shining spot compared to other part of the country.

Been surprised to see the hotel, which was marked as a 5 star.... 1 restaurant onsite and - that's all No gym No kids services No Business corner. ok, they have a private beach, but that is all of the facilities... next door there are almost the similar hotels, but they have no intentions to mark itself 5 star. this can't be a 5 star.

In comparison to other 5-star hotels we’ve previously stayed at, I’d rate this as a 3 . It’s clean and the location is great but it’s not a 5-star hotel. •Our so called Mountain View was literally a concrete wall and a big, red pipe. When we asked the receptionist about it, telling her that’s not what they advertised on the website, her only response was that it’s the only room they have available and that there’s nothing she can do for us. •When we arrived, there were no bathrobes in our room, which is fine. Sometimes you forget. We called reception in the afternoon to let them know. When we woke up the morning after, they still hadn’t delivered the robes. So we had to call them a second time, to have them bring them to our room. 15 hours later. •Same thing happened when we asked to borrow an iron, we had to call reception three times to have an iron brought to our room. •The breakfast is not impressive at all. Especially the coffee machine. It’s not even close to being good coffee and when we asked if we could have a real cappuccino from the hotel bar, we were told we had to pay for them. •There’s a little beach bar that belongs to the hotel. They serve drinks and food. We ordered a pizza Margherita and the grilled chicken. The chicken was undercooked. There was literally red/pink parts inside the chicken filet. We told the waitress about it who apologized and asked if we wanted something else. Which we declined. She talked to her manager who told her we still had

This was my second visit to Hotel California and I will keep coming back. The service by the staff is top notch! Everyone is so helpful and attentive. The rooms are new and clean and very comfortable. It’s right on the beach which makes it even more appealing. I look forward to coming back.

Unfortunately for us this hotel didn't deliver what is to be expected from five stars or this price point. Positives: - great location - genuinely helpful and caring staff Negatives - Restaurant wasn't open for dinner, and alternatives were nowhere near the hotel - Bar wasn't fully stocked; didn't have many drinks, only one type of beer, etc We visited early in the season which explains the concerns, but I do believe the if the hotel is open it should be open in full. We booked here with the aim of spending our time relaxing at the hotel, but this wasn't possible due to it not being fully open.

The hotel is in a great spot right next to the island as you see in the pics. The food was excellent and the room excellent too. The staff seemed a little over matey with each other rather than focussed on the guests, there is no room to relax other than on the balcony really, which doubles for eating. And they don't sell white wine by the glass. In all a lovely position, very clean and comfortable. Just not sure it is like other 5 star hotels Ive stayed at over the years. Perhaps 4.5 star.

Трансфер до аэропорта дешевле такси. Рядом большой парк. Мы остались очень довольны пребыванием в отеле.! С удовольствием приедем ещё раз.

An exceptional hotel in a beautiful place. Staff were amazing...friendly, helpful and made us feel very welcome. Buses to Budva a short walk away. Access to a fantastic beach with crystal clear water, jet skis and kayaks to hire nearby. Probably worth trying to get a sea view room if possible or if mountain view try to get the top floor. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay - mainly due to the great people working there.
