Dear Austin Mack (a/k/a Anonymous), Your comments are unwarranted and factually incorrect. It is a strange coincidence that right after I called you about the bedsheets being torn, you posted a scathing review! First of all, I contacted you about the damage within 24 hours of your check-out, not "days" later! Secondly, you admitted that the sheets were in perfect condition when you checked in, however three nights later, you left the sheets with a huge rip in it. The pictures of the sheet were sent to you before removing them from the bed. Exactly as you left them, but you insisted that you knew nothing about it and the sheets ripped in the "washer". The apartment is thoroughly cleaned after each guest leaves, and if you saw a cockroach, it is because it may have gotten in from outside. We live in a tropical paradise, where many animals and insects thrive. The occasional spider, ant or roach makes an appearance, just like the lizards and iguanas who live among us, and are part and parcel of our island life. We have a monthly pest service at our property for this reason. FYI, our property just won the 2020 Guest Review Award with an overall score of 9.2/10, so I think that speaks for itself. This outweighs the disgruntled guest who refuses to do the right thing and take responsibility for damage, instead choosing to post a nasty review! Don't worry, Mr. Mack, we will replace the sheets ourselves, and hope that future guests will see all the great reviews we have received and disregard yours! Thank you!

Dear Anonymous Guest, We strive to make every stay a great one, and we are so glad you enjoyed the sweeping harbor views from the two decks. All of our five apartments are thoroughly cleaned before every stay. In fact, you arrived during the cleaning process and were witness to this as the floors had just been freshly mopped. If anything was overlooked, such as the ceiling fan, please accept our apologies. Regarding your comment about seeing a roach, we have a regular exterminator service, but since we live on an island where insects thrive, once in a while a stray ant or roach may be found exploring. You are the first guest to have a complaint, and while we appreciate your honesty, we will continue to do better. Thank you.
