“Horrible”
The worst decision in my life i guess, is booking a room in this hotel. The photos shown on the internet are no way matching to what is present on the location! Horrible customer service. The stupid receptionists sitting in the front desk act as if we are begging from them. I WOULD NOT RECOMMENDED THIS HOTEL, EVEN TO A SWORN ENEMY OF MINE.....! IF POSSIBLE, I WOULD PREFER TO GIVE A RATING OF BELOW 1 FOR THIS CRAP CALLED "CLAREMONT HOTEL"
“Smelly and very unclean”
One thing for sure - I am not returning to this hotel or even recommend any one to.

Hotel condition is apathetic. No maintenance. Everywhere, water seepage through roof. No room service. Breakfast worst. It's a horrible experience in staying this hotel. No one should chose this hotel for the stay.
“Worst hotel ever - never again”
The hotel was dirty, in a terrible area and not very friendly at all. We booked a wake up call to catch a flight however as when we went to the lobby the hotel was not staffed at 6.00am but were were not advised that this was a service they did not provide. The hotel was too expensive for what was provided and the bathroom had cockroaches. We quite often had to wait for a lift and there were no stairwells as their were full of supplies to find that more often than not the lift was also full of hotel supplies such as sheets, water and other amenities. It seemed that the sheets are changed periodically and bed bugs are the bed fellow for the evening.

good hotel, even after you check out can leave the baggages in the very safe basement. Good breakfast. But no WiFi. too sad about this.
“horrible !!!!!”
poor service, we paid for 2 bed and they gave us one twin bed. So the 3 of us- my wife, son and me had to sleep on one queen size bed because they don't have 2 bed available. The dining room smell!!!!!!
“Very unfortunate that we stayed here”
This hotel is not to be considered a 2 star it should not be rated at all, the rooms were of the most disgusting we had seen in a long time, and the service was non existent. The only good thing about staying here in "Little India" was the wonderful genuine Indian food located at the cafe across the road. Do not stay at the Claremont !!!!!!!!!!!
“Average Singapore”
The hotel is not a new hotel. It is a standard place if you are looking just for somewhere to est your head. The floors in the room are not carpeted so makes it a little uncomfortable on the feet. But the place is clean!

Used as overnight stay for transit. Did have airconditioning, shower, safe, bed was fine, so from that front okay. However - the room needed a good scrub on the walls. Our friends in another room had cobwebs, and I mean very large cobwebs that must have been there for months. Basically the hygiene standard very low. The corridors and general appearance of hotel decor very low. There is a dreadful smell, dampness or something, as you approach the breakfast area - which puts you off before you start. The breakfast buffet consists of bread, jam, eggs, chips, noodles, samosas. Would have benefitted enormously from toaster. Typical across a number of hotels in Singapore is the coffee facilities in room - sachets of coffee consisting of dried coffee, sugar and milk combined. Just mentioning for like minded people who like black coffee no sugar - don't rely on the sachets in hotels in Singapore generally. Location good for the MRT which is brilliant public transport - but other than that - don't stay in this hotel. Staff were not helpful in seeing if late checkout possible. Got feeling they couldn't be bothered to look. Checked in equally dire hotel round corner - but only needed shower following night. There is baggage store but you need to pay 1 singapore dollar for each item per day, but probably no big deal.
“Not impressed with maintenance.”
The hotel is in a very convenient location for public transport and to experience Little India. However, the maintenance of the hotel has a lot to be desired. The bath tub in the toilet was loose, unsteady and leaking, keeping the toilet floor wet all the time. The towels supplied were not clean. Had problems with check in as we were asked for a voucher. It needed some explanation before they gave us the room.
