This property is very dated and run down. The paint on the doors and trim needs a serious makeover. In the room we had, the coffee maker didn’t function properly, the towels had holes and the drain in the sink required the plug to be manually lifted for the water to drain. The breakfast is in a bag that you pick up from the front desk, and hopefully the attendant isn’t in a surly mood. There is no restaurant on site but they provide coupons for one in an adjacent property, which is pretty pricey. And they charge for parking in a lot with a very poor surface. The biggest thing this property has to offer is a convenient location.

I was accused of breaking a lamp in the room; therefore, it was charged under the “incidentals” contract. I was there less than 24hours occupying a room. The front desk receptionist was very rude, she would not give me her name, nor let me speak to a manager, I was hung up on. If a manager is reading this, I called on 5/2/24 at 5:00 pm. If you stay at this property, I highly advise to take pictures of the room before you leave to cover yourself. It’s the housekeeper’s word against your own.

Room was ok. Clean. Asked for a non-connected room but we were woken up in the middle of the night with a women yelling loudly for hours in the connected room. She sounded psychotic. Called front desk and they said no one was supposed to be in the room. Scary experience.

There was only one incident during our 2 nights stay, when there’s no hot water one morning. They’re able to fixed it fairly quickly about one hour later. Otherwise this is a classic example of you got what you paid for. I don’t think front desk staff are happy with their job and it shows in their interactions with me. The property is old but pretty well maintained. The breakfast is pretty good for the money. In short, if this one fall within your budget go for it but if you can spare some extra dollars, do that instead imho.

Very comfortable and convenient. Close to freeway for easy access. Thought we would hear freeway noise, but we didn't. Much less expensive than other nearby hotels. No complaints of any kind. Would stay here again.

Check-in was extremely slow. They charge an additional $12 fee for parking even though they don’t take any of your car information, give you a tag or display showing that you paid because you could be towed if you didn’t pay for parking. I chose not to pay and nothing happened. I feel it’s just another fee to tac on for the heck of it & most people pay it. You’re informed that you can come get a sack breakfast upon checkout if you’re interested and you check out before 10 AM. Which upon checkout, we asked if there was breakfast, & the clerk at the counter was extremely irritated that she had to put together a literal brown bag breakfast. No security in the hotel even on the door entering into the building our room was located. The doors were broken & look like they’ve been broken for a long time. The hallway to all the rooms looks like something out of a horror flick. The room was stale smell of cigarettes in a non smoking room. A lot of stains from god knows what on the carpet. Carpet was also thick and felt sticky. I did not walk barefoot for sure and my socks were black from the little time I did walk around. I chose this hotel because of its location and their rating which was not so bad paired with their so so pricing however that was a mistake. I would rather paid 30 more dollars and stayed at the Marriott next-door or even the Hilton next-door have stayed at this shady house in a good neighborhood. Sad to say but we will NEVER stay here again.

Which I am assuming is because you told staff at the front desk that you did not have a vehicle to park.

The attitude of front desk staff was not very friendly. She walked out to the front desk lazily from playing on her phone in the back and didn't have any smile on her face. Also found that the hotel has increased their parking fee to $12 per night instead of $10 as listed on Expedia. Room is old but overall reasonably clean. The most unacceptable thing is they didn't remove the leftover food from previous guests from the fridge. We were left without a fridge to use as we didn't want to touch the food left behind by other people.

The property is very outdated and the parking situation is pretty terrible. The parking spots are very narrow, when someone pulls in next to you in a big truck, you’re not able to get into your car. But, what’s worse is the building that we were in did not have hot water. We got no warning that the Mount Baker building was having hot water issues. The gentleman in the room next to us told us that the front desk informed him that they were having intermittent hot water issues. We were never told that, and had I known that I would’ve requested to be in another building, nobody wants to take a cold shower. I would not recommend this red lion location to my worst enemy. The African-American woman at the front counter was very unfriendly, and it was clear that she did not want to be at work that day.

When checking out. A couple had their 2 dogs with them. The woman was at the counter while the man had their 2 small dogs on a leash. He let one of them poop in the lobby on the carpet. He did pick it up. The desk lady didnt see any of it but I did mention to her when it was my time to check out. I will not be staying at the place again and will not recommend.

toilet almost overflowed room smelt like stale cigarettes and door wouldn’t shut properly without being forced into place upon arriving another guest was walking their dog stopped by our room and yelled back to whoever was at their room that “they’re staying in this room” freaked me out because i was traveling by myself with my two daughters did not sleep well because of this and felt unsafe

The price was affordable and the location is very close to downtown Bellevue. However, the noises of outdated air-conditioner under the window became an issue for those who had problems in falling in sleep.

Because I forgot to book my hotel until the day of my trip I booked this hotel hastily and had instant regrets! The front desk staff was rude and didn’t tell us we had to request room cleaning or attendance! This left us going down to the concierge to get towels ourselves! She stuck us all the way in the back of the hotel when clearly there were rooms in the front as no one was in that hotel at all! The hotel was dated, dirty, poor lighting, poor customer service, no dining, no class, every piece of furniture in that place was made for little people. They should call it red lion motel since it has cheap motel quality!!!! Needless to say will never stay here again or recommend it to anyone!!! It is suitable as a homeless shelter and that’s it! In fact they should service the community and run it as one to help the overwhelming amount of homelessness in the area!!!!

We didnt even check into the hotel. Contacted hotels.com immediately to cancel the booking. VERY unsafe, run down, fiflthy hotel with unfriendly front desk staff. I asked to see the room before we checked in. Was met with an unfriendly response, but she contacted a housekeeper to walk me there. Housekeeper was friendly. All rooms have outdoor acees with hallways open to any passerby who would want to just walk up and bang in your door or patio door. Upon looking at the room, I could see at one point the door had been kicked it and the locks had been replaced. The door jam, door itself and surrounding area had been repaired and painted over. Upon contacting hotels.com, the hotel refused to refund our money. However, hotels.com.worked with us and refunded our money. Never take your children to this hotel!! Carry a weapon on your hip. Or just simply book somewhere else so you can sleep at night.

We woke up at 5am with no power. Had to have my daughter at a cheer competition at 6:45am. Called the front desk. Said there was no maintenance. Had to get my daughter dressed in the dark, do her makeup in the hall, and we’re finally able to get a new room so we could have electricity to plug in the curling iron. Appreciate getting a new room, but no offer to comp us a night or anything.

Low Price, Low Quality
This is a much older hotel than I thought it would be, and the interior smells like an old building with musty carpets, for example. The “double beds” were the smallest I’ve seen, but they were comfortable for one person. I was disappointed in the lack of friendliness of the desk employees; they were curt in their responses with not a friendly nod or smile. All three times I was at the desk, I was the only one there, so it wasn’t because they were super rushed. Finally, the “grab and go” breakfast was decent, but I went alone to get it for my three children and myself, and I was able to get two (for four people) only after nearly insisting (with a look of scorn from the staff). For the price, it was okay. I will not stay there again.
