I hated this place.

The staff was great, but the hotel it self was horrible. The room had old musty Smell. The sheets had stains on them. The towels where old and small. I could go on and on but you get the picture.

Savannah Suites Week-End

Les + : Please see above regarding the cleanliness and shower.
Les - : Office needs a night manager for guests. Ice machine would be nice. Better towels, hand, washcloth, and bath. Replace the mattress, sheets, & underpad
Situation : Savannah historic district a plus, tours, trolly rides and horse drawn carriages.
Room was clean. Shower was nice and powerful. Bed was a double not a queen size, a queen was represented on the website. It needed a new mattress pad and better grade of sheets. Double bed was very old and well used. Kitchenette was clean. Door security was weak, safety chain only had wood screws in the moulding, we placed the bureau in front of the door. While unloading the car we were approached for a hand out by another guest. Relieved next day there was no damage to our car. Check in after hours was with a security guard, front desk left at 8 p.m. and did not return til morning. No ice machine available. Homeless folks observed in the parking lot late at night.

Seen better times

Bed was comfortable, facilities were very dated, old TV with poor reception. Staff were helpful and very friendly.

Noisy tenants until after 11PM. No one on duty

Les + : Price was very fair for the property. Good stove, microwave & refrigerator, clean comfortable beds
Les - : Bathroom conditions.
Situation : Easy access to Savannah by car, lots of large shopping centers in 1-mi radius
Reasonable for the price, but needed some management attention on cleanliness & enforcing quiet time after 10PM. No on is on duty form 9PM to morning

We do have security on duty after hours and there number is on the key card envelope we give to all guest and is posted on the office door. The issues with cleanliness will be addressed with housekeeping . We thank you for your patronage and hope that you will stay with us again.

Unpleasant stay.

The room smelled musky & was just old looking. Bed was not comfortable. Bathroom was not what I consider a bathroom for a hotel room. We got woke up the first time by women arguing & cussing at one another. The second time it was by men doing the same thing. We where not satisfiedwith our stay.

Great value, would stay again.

Others have posted only 2 stars, I would say it's at least 3 stars. The facility is old but well kept. The neighborhood is very close to an Army Military base so it's not unsafe from what I could see. I stayed 3 nights and had no problems. The parking lot is very well lit and the folks are very nice. My conference was held in the Hyatt downtown Savannah which was almost 4 times the price so the short drive to downtown was worth it. Many places to eat very close and several small malls in the immediate area.
