Everything from start to finish was perfect. I took a city bus from the airport to the airpirt. Check-in was easy. My room was small but perfect. I grabbed a salad and wine at their bar before it closed. It was excellent. Very lively young crowd on a Saturday evening. The Guild was a very unexpected jewel in San Diego.

This is a wonderful European style property that is delightful and in the best possible location. The downstairs dining & courtyard were great and it’s a nice nice hotel easily walkable everywhere. Unfortunately, the hotel is infused with such a strong fragrance throughout the entire hotel, and all the rooms that it caused horrible allergy attack. The whole time I was there the fragrance was so strong. It made my eyes burn. I had to have my window open the entire time which helped some. If strong fragrances don’t bother you then you will absolutely adore the hotel

Great place, but after 2:30 pm you not going to be able to find coffee. We came to hotel after dinner around 10 pm, and we couldn't get any coffee at all. Overall, we like it.

From the moment we checked in we felt right at home. Tuong checked us in and he was such a pleasure! This place was very nice and convenient to everything. Clean, friendly, and the restaurant/bar was very nice.

This is a beautiful hotel, location is pretty good.. easy walk to the USS midway or gaslamp area. The amenities are great, beautiful lobby and dinning areas. The rooms are on the smaller size but very nice, luxury bedding and pillows, le labo soaps and shampoos which are the best you can get. Check in was easy and quick. My problem was the restaurant, limited menu but absolutely great food and drinks, they charge you a resort tax which you can use towards drinks or dinning and actually quite a few other things. When I would sit down at the main lobby for food or drinks it was like I was being ignored for the 4 days I was there, staff were talking to each other, rolling silverware, did not care you sat down and were waitinf to be served, every time it would be at least 15 to 20 mins before someone would come say hi and take your drink or food order even after leaving a good tip for the first few nights. The people at the bar seemed to get better service from what I could see. I wouldnt stay here again just because of this.

The property is great. The rooms are perfect. when you make a reservation be sure that you understand that it’s extra for parking and there is an extra $37 per day fee which gives you a $35 food credit. We were at the hotel with children and had no intentions of eating there. It was frustrating to know that we had to “use up“ our $35.

The facilities were clean and modern. Restaurant was a bit overpriced for what it is, but the food was good. It was nice to easily connect to Netflix in the rooms. Rooms were small, had to request a coffee machine and mini fridge, but they did bring it up right away. Coffee keurig in rooms is lacking for a 4 star hotel.

The service was good when I got there. But i didn’t expect the room to be as small as it was. Also , don’t pay for valet parking .. for 50 dollars you’d expect great service but waiting 30 mins for your car to be pulled up isn’t right.

There was a buzzing noise coming from the bathroom the whole time. Difficult to fall asleep with that going on. Also parking situation is horrible, the hotel themselves do not have parking so you have to park in a parking garage behind and it’s 25 a night.

Nice little boutique property: great bar and service. Tiny (but nice) rooms. Music was playing in the courtyard until at least 11PM.
