« This cabin has great potential, but there needs to be full disclosure and clarity about its water issues. It was charming and clean, but we were so disappointed that both the gas grill and gas fireplace on the deck were unusable. There was only one empty propane tank under the grill and nothing in the fireplace. There is a wood burning/coal fire pit that we supplied our own wood for. The host did not respond to my inquiry about whether there was an additional propane tank someplace on site....

« The place was great; clean, cozy, comfortable and convenient location to things we were doing. Just a couple of things to note as an FYI for the owners. Toilet tank leaked occasionally, I put a bucket under it, to capture the water. The kitchen sink, spray hose would not shut off. Also, a critter, probably a red squid, was in the upper left bedroom cubby. We had a great week and hope to return soon. Thank you Ken »

« Beautiful cabin. Spotless. More than enough room for two people. Never seen so many stars at night. Did some hiking and relaxing. Fire pit every night. There is a hardware store in Hardwick if the firewood is damp. Not going to have much cell service in surrounding areas so plan accordingly. Wick at the cabin though. Would love to bring family here. »

« We spent 3 days at the cabin with my husband and our 3 children aged 3, 7 and 9. The stay was very pleasant. The place is cozy, small but very well organized. We were able to enjoy the magnificent view of the mountains and took advantage of the covered space for the fires (very practical in case of rain!) Thanks Ben! :) »

« We so enjoyed our time here. The owners were proactive with communication and responsive when we had questions. The property was spotless on checkin and well equipped with plenty of linens. The house is very comfortable. But the best part is the view - it’s not to be missed. We ate every meal, drank our coffee and evening cocktail on the expansive deck. We can’t wait to come back. « This place blows you away even just as you drive up to it. It's perfect for large families/groups with all the sleeping arrangements that are possible. Having three showers was amazing as well for all of us (6 adults and 4 kids). The porch on the outside was lovely at night. We planned on using the fire pit in the back as well but never had a chance to, it's adorable how they have it set up though. « This property is legitimately on a beautiful lake. You can take a short walk down to a beach and use the free charcoal grills and go for a swim if you'd like. The hose itself is very spacious, including a large deck that overlooks the lake. The house could have used a bit more cleaning, definitely not sparkling clean, but it wasn't too bad. »

Bathrooms in these old inns are afterthoughts, this one was squeezed in and did not match the high nightly price the inn charges.
