Family getaway

The house was very clean and spacious and the beds were comfortable. We stayed in October, so we did not use the yard and pool. We had two issues with the house: There was no Cable TV working during our visit. Each of the several TVs seemed to have different streaming options, and there were no instructions regarding what was available where. Luckily we were able to hook up a laptop and sign in to our own accounts. The listing specifies Cable TV. Also, the seating is limited - there are several seating areas, but none offer seating for more than three people. When we finally got something to watch, two of our group of five had to sit on the floor.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I apologize for the inconvenience caused by the cable TV not working during your stay. The Cable TV receiver had stopped working right before your arrival and the cable company was unable to send a technician in time for your arrival. The house has 4 smart TVs with streaming capabilities as an alternative. Regarding the seating, I appreciate you noting that it was not ideal for a larger group. We try to provide a variety of seating options to accommodate different group sizes, and I will look into adding some additional, larger seating areas that can comfortably fit more people.

This home is perfect for any occasion!! Great for a family getaway, a honeymoon, or to stay with some friends. The house is beautiful, the rooms are big, and everything is clean! Quiet neighborhood and beautiful property.

Great stay!
Had a great weekend staying here with friends! Enjoyed the pool and the big media room downstairs. House was well stocked with everything you need - even hair dryers in each bathroom. Would stay again!

Great time out East!
We had a wonderful time. The house was perfect for 6 adults. Very spacious and beautiful backyard with Pool. My only suggestion would be to add a few umbrellas to offer more shade that have strong bases. We would absolutely book again!

Nice Property – Convenience to Multiple Destinations
My family, which included my husband, 2 adult children and a 9-year-old, stayed at the property for a week in late July. We loved it! The house was large, honestly there we enough beds to sleep at least 10 comfortably; my kids enjoyed having our own space and access to a private pool (unlike a hotel). We used this location so we could make day trips to several destinations on the North and South Forks, all were within about a 30-minute drive or less. The beaches near the Hamptons, Fire Island beach parks, Greenport Ferry to Shelter Island, Vineyards, Farmer’s Market, the area was beautiful and things for everyone to enjoy. We could have stayed another week!

Beautiful Property
This home and property is gorgeous with a ton of space. Home was cleaner than most I’ve rented and fully equipped with anything you could need. We faced a minor issue with ants, which was resolved, the owner was very responsive and willing to accommodate a refund if we chose to leave. The ants were at no fault of the owner as the home was extremely clean, seems the summer heat was driving them in during peak afternoon hours. We are so glad we stayed and even wished we had booked an extra day! Being a Long Island local this property is definitely being saved for future staycations. Highly recommend!!

Okay, just okay. But pool!
Not a quiet neighborhood, surrounded by trailer parks which were hopping during July 4th weekend, mostly power tools. Air condition is very spotty, and no way to make the fireplace room dark enough to sleep in it. It is a large house with large private pool, absolutely the best price for that in the area, you just can't be too picky, I guess.

Thank you for your review. Normally it's pretty quiet (the trailer park is a 55+ community) but as in any other neighborhood on the 4th of July weekend it can be noisy as everyone is at home celebrating. The air conditioner was serviced on the day you arrived and the HVAC company found no issues with it. In addition, we have provided 2 window units in the rooms that tend to get hotter due to sun exposure. Guest also requested to extend the pool heater hours which we did as a courtesy for no extra charge.

Home was very clean. Never had a chance to use the pool. Only downside is that several of the beds had no top sheets on them. Master bedroom did not have top sheets nor any pillows with with pillow cases.

Thank you for your review. For some of the beds we use duvet covers which get washed after every guest, and plenty of top sheets, fitted sheets, blankets and extra pillows and pillow cases were available for your use, they were in the closet, I wish you texted me if you weren’t able to find them. 2 pillows per bed were provided as well.

Long Island Oasis
Such a big, beautiful house. This weekend was a gift for my grand daughter. Near the aquarium, near the beaches and the house pool so awesome.
