Bon séjour.
Hotel en majorité occupé par des Canadiens. Chambre, restauration, propreté, service au rendez vous. Mer un peu capricieuse, pas le top pour les enfants, les vagues sont imprévisibles. Spectacle de qualité et bonne animation la journée. Bar dans la chambre plus que correct. Très bien pour les gens qui ne veulent pas bouger. Une voiture est nécessaire pour visiter les alentours.

Un vrai 5 étoiles
Nous avions une très belle et grande chambre, avec vue sur la mer, les piscines, le passage fleuri et le bâtiment principal. Le ménage est fait de façon méticuleuse... C'est franchement plus propre que chez moi. Nous avions tous les produits nécessaires à la chambre. Les repas étaient excellents, variés et succulents au resto Balboa (buffet). Chaque soir, ils font quelque chose de spécial. Quant aux restos à la carte, nous avons été très déçus: au Xian, ils ont trouvé le moyen de brûler une darne de thon; en général les fruits de mer sont trop cuits! Au Chiriqui le soir, service horrible (la fille nous a tout garroché et il n'y avait pourtant que quelques personnes,..). Ils ont aussi trouvé le moyen de trop cuire les steaks, dont on ne sait si c'est de la vache ou du bœuf (?). Aucune tendreté, dur à couper. Côté bars, et ils sont nombreux, c'est impeccable! Service rapide et efficace. Je donne une note de 💯/💯 Je recommande le Riu de Playa Blanca à tous ceux qui aiment les tout inclus.

Superbe hôtel au bord du Pacifique
Hotel absolument parfait: chambres spacieuses avec des douches italiennes. Lits confortables. Choix de 4 restaurants pour prendre ses repas. Qualité de la nourriture et renouvellement des choix exceptionnels. Tout est vraiment inclus, même le mini bar dans la chambre! Personnel toujours prêt à aider et propose des animations en anglais/espagnol, y compris pour les enfants. Seul défaut: les animations du soir sont un peu bruyantes, mais franchement, c'est un point mineur par rapport à la qualité de cet hotel.

Overall the stay was good. The food at the big restaurant was actually good. The staff was nice. Just found the bathtub too tall to get in. My son slipped down and hit his head (he was ok, more of a scare). The same bathtub was rusty. Also, the entrance (lobby) was kind of hard to reach from parking. Just could have been nicer an easier entry. The swimming pools were nice and my 4 year old enjoyed himself.

This Riu's rooms are extremely ran down with marker drawing on tables, pealing paint on tables, broken couches. We had to change rooms twice because the first room has bugs all over both the beds and it was very dirty. We basically had to beg to get bottled water in our room daily and they only stock your other mini fridge and alcohol every 2 days, which they didn't even want to do that. We paid for an ocean view and the last room we were put in, which was the one we stayed in the longest, was only a partial ocean view. We where also two hours from the airport with good traffic, so it took 3 hours most of the time and because we booked through Expedia they wouldn't provide us transportation. The taxi's and excursions are super expensive, it was 120$ just for a ride from the airport to the hotel. We will not be staying at this hotel again unless gets updated and better service.

The property was clean, the people were extremely friendly and helpful. It was a little far from the airport at 2 plus hours. Besides that the resort was nice. The beach was really a beach. The black sands were beautiful. The entertainment was cool. The 4 pools were helful. The sound of the ocean at night is priceless. Late April the temp was great also. My 1st Riu hotel visit but it most definitely will not be my last. I had a great time. It was for my daughter's 30th bday. Thanks

Very good hotel and beautiful property. Excellent service. Only one part should be improved: more restaurants. At night is impossible to get in to any restaurants (Asian, Italian or Steakhouse), only buffet option. For the capacity over 500 rooms needs to be at least 6 restaurants plus buffet. Otherwise everything is perfect.

Decent hotel, pleasent beach
Rooms are spacious but they need new painting, it felt moldy and mold spots were present. Also the presumably white doors were more gray due to the hundred human fingerprints it gandered during the years. The biggest negative for us was house keeping. Sheets were usually stained, not changed every day, some of the pillows were having a bad smell.The food is average. But Riu isn't renowned for the food. It was ok overall . The variety wasn't that rich regarding the massiveness of the hotel. The day activities are loved by kids. The employees from the animation team are very friendly. The one's from the evening shows are very good dancers. Their shows are well executed. As a whole experience, we had a great stay, relaxing and fun ( Riu's are usually fun). The weather at the end of November, beginning of December was around 30 degrees Celsius during the day with passing showers from time to time. In 11 days only one day was raining most of it and one was mostly cloudy. But never felt cold. So the hotel was ok overall and has value for money (at 187 euro per night in my case). The beach is decent, not great, don't expect to be like the ones in Mexico. At least not on the Pacific side. They have nice beaches in the other part of the country, but less hotels offer and are harder to reach.

The area throughout the hotel are great and super clean. The staff in all areas are "AMAZING". Very friendly and willing to assist you at any time. Always with a great smile. One thing I noticed near by the vendors of souvenir by the beach was a few empy cans of soda ( 4). I hope they clean their area by the end of each day and no leave any pollution for the ocean. Also, going to the beach i had to be careful not to step on horse droppings. I thing the horse handers should clean it by the end of the day.

Place is beautiful and have lots of potential but Staff don’t care about the guests Restaurants were not good at all… the buffet that was the best part so don’t waste your time on line for restaurants go straight to buffet it’s the best They need to work on the attractions not bad but can be better other than that pools were awesome so was the beach and free parking

A well maintained property with manicured lawns and festively decorated for Christmas in the lobby areas and special lighting on all palm trees. Staff picking up every glass or cup discarded on the sand by the very diverse groups of guests (although collection points are readily available) is remarkable. The "reservation by towel" of beach/pool chairs is not discouraged.

Staff is very nice. Food is abundant and very good. The entertainment staff is amazing! Rooms are basic with no toiletries, limited linens and towels, but you can request on the Riu app. The resort really needs maintenance. We had a good time, but we read all the other reviews and knew what to expect.

We had ants in our room and went to the front desk twice and all they did was send house keeping which didn’t get rid of the ants. There we legit ants in the beds. We had to put our luggage on the balcony

There were only 2 disappointments: 1). The Asian restaurant … service and food were both inferior; and 2) Buffet at Chiriqui … very poor selection (1 day only).
