OK So I had called the hotel before to ask if the hot tub was open and they said yes yes it is I have the call log to prove the call, but when I showed up they tell me its closed and has been for 2 years?? Why keep it as something you offer if it has been out of commission for 2 years. The slide not working, the ice machine on the 2nd floor not working, the juice machine during breakfast broken, the coffee cold who ha to heat up coffee that as just served? The breakfast (LOL) options are nothing. Construction stuff everywhere legit looks like a ran down hotel that is not even in service have nothing positive to say

The rooms were clean and the staff was all very nice. We were traveling from out of town so we chose this hotel because of the waterslide for the kids and the hot tub for the adults. We got to the hotel only to find out that neither was in working order :( They were also undergoing construction so parking & getting luggage inside with the little kids was a challenge. I wish there would have been warning of this or a discount on the room since the ammenities we wanted weren't even included.

The night time person didn’t let me know I forgot my ID so for the two days I was there I didn’t have it. They all seen me walk by multiple times and could have called up to my room to let me know I left it. But they didn’t. So that was really odd. They didn’t tell you all the charges that were coming out or hold that may occur on your card. Barley talked. The ladies were really helpful and knowledgeable. Very nice but the night time gentleman wasn’t the greatest. The beds are really firm so if you like that then great if you need soft watch out. Very little food served in the morning even if you wake up at 6 when they serve it. But over all good. If you can’t find something else then I’d say get this one.

Most the pool area was broken. The door to our room didn’t close properly and couldn’t be locked and you could see into the hall even with the door closed. Bathroom doorknob felt like it was about to fall off. Breakfast was slightly above average.

When we arrived we were told that the pool was open and a great feature to the hotel. What we found out later was the waterslude and the hottub were out of commission. When we arrived to our room, thry looked clean until we entered the bathroom and we could tell that it had never been cleaned. When we approached the staff, their excuse was they were short handed, then they sent someone up to clean the toilet and the sink only. Leaving the floor dirty even after we mentioned the black hair all over the floor. My wife called the front desk and they said they would send soneone up to clean the floor, but no one ever showed. We left to run around town for a few hours and when we came back they still hadnt cleaned the rest of the bathroom. Also their was garbage under one of the chairs in our room. So if this was cleaned it was a quick job. The last day to leave we went down for their adequate breakfast and when we went back to our room the key woyld not let us in to our room at 10am, check out being 11 am it shiuld srill work, we made 3 trips down to fro t desk to get the card re-entered and it never did open our door, they had to come up twice with a specail key to open our door all while standing with 2 young children in the hallway for over 20 minutes. Overall this was a Very Bad choice for a hotel. .upon leaving my daughter noticed ine of the bed comforters was badly stained, just an added bad experience for a hotel. the last time we stay at any of the comfort inn.

I understand there was renovations being done. We tried staying here over a year ago and it was under renovation then. I really didn't expect that the Pool Slide and the Hot Tub wasn't working - the kids were disappointed. Most of the ice machines weren't working. The TV in our room didn't work. We arrived in town two hours early at 2pm and the hotel was empty - literally no cars in the parking lot. We asked if we could still check-in early - surely there would be an open room for our booking by then. No, they would not let us check-in until 4pm. They eventually let us use the pool until we 4pm - but as mentioned, the slide wasn't working and the hot tub was out of service. Why??? who knows. We get assigned a room and the rooms were nice. the renovations they've done to the rooms and lobby were quite good. However, the TV system didn't work (and it was March Madness and we wanted to watch the games together). We asked if they could fix it, but they didn't know how. They weren't sure if they could move us, but eventually they put us in a different room which felt smaller than what we paid for. The breakfast in the morning was quite pathetic. There was hardly any food put out in the first place, and what was out there ran out quickly. And they didn't refill things very quickly if at all. So the service at this hotel is inexperienced, and quite lacking. The rooms are nice, but its definitely just a place to sleep. I would not recommend.

The waterslide and hot tub were out of commission and there was a lot of construction on the out side of the building inside the water fountains were not in working order and then for breakfast the following day there was little to no food available and no kitchen worker to be found and the front desk staff didn't seem to worried about ensuring that the breakfast was set up and ready for guests. The waffle batter was like water: no creamer for coffee, no hot water for oatmeal, and the fridge with juice was locked. Just overall I was not pleased with my stay

Staff was friendly. My room however was missing toiletries such as Kleenex, toilet paper and shampoo and conditioner. The new shower installed shampoo set that should have been installed was not. I had to ask for these myself.

When you visit Rapid City in off season, don't expect things like the hot tub, ice machines, maid service and breakfast juice at this hotel. This hotel does have a location just off the interstate and is centrally located to all attractions. I will not visit this hotel again. Always call befor you book thru Expedia if hotel amenities are inportant to you.

The rooms have just been renovated and they are nice, clean and lots of light (which I love). The hot tub is still being renovated so that was a bummer. Also the treadmill in the fitness center is not working - another bummer. Everything else is great.

Bad experience
The hotel was under construction and the pool and fitness room were closed. The bathroom floor was so sticky we didn’t even take our shoes off. Paid for a 2 night stay and checked out after 1 night. After a long day of driving, we were highly disappointed. Still waiting for a call from the general manager. It’s been 2 days and 2 request for a call.

New Rooms and Clean Hotel
The hotel was being renovated while I stayed, so I didn't get to check out the pool. But the room I got was great! The 2nd floor had just finished being renovated, and I was the first one to stay in the new room I had booked. They did a good job making the place look and feel nice! The bed was insanely comfortable, the whole room felt very clean. It was honestly one of my favorite hotels stays of the past few years. I loved that the room felt new and clean, and I did not feel grossed out at all like I had in other hotels. I really hope they keep it as nice as possibly, because I will definitely book again in the future. Thank you for a cozy and clean stay!
