Owl Getaway perches on a mountain ridge, offering stunning vistas of treetops and beautiful songbirds of the forest. Make a cup of coffee just a few feet away from an amazing view. The chalet is a cozy, private hideaway tucked
into the hillside.
It is a quaint open floor plan with one full bathroom. All
linens and towels are provided for your stay, so pack
light -- or bring your winter gear and enjoy the ski
slopes at Whitetail Ski Resort!
There is a long, flat, private, paved driveway.
Owl Getaway is the perfect place for a relaxing evening roasting marshmallows under a blanket watching the majestic sunset..... Perfection!

Had a wonderful weekend getaway
We absolutely loved stay in Owl gateway due to mainly ambience of staying in the woods and beautiful chalet with all you need just for weekend. We strongly recommend any family for a weekend getaway and nature lover.

Very clean cozy cabin to relax and unwind. Enjoyed the out door fire pit every night. Had everything you need to enjoy a quiet get away.

Perfect little cabin
I surprised my partner with a weekend getaway for his birthday to this little cabin. Even though it rained all weekend, we loved every second here. The covered/screened in porch made it still possible to sit outside, and the view waking up in the morning was just so pretty. The super long driveway was nice to take a walk down as well. Perfect place to unwind. It was clean, and comfortable.

The Perfect Escape!
What a fantastic visit! We were only able to stay one night, but everything was so convenient and homey. And so clean. We had everything we needed. No issues with Wi-Fi. When we had questions, we were responded too quickly. Thank you for such a great stay. We will definitely be back.

Great getaway!
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cabin! It was so secluded but close to town, so very easy to go out for groceries or whatever was needed. The driveway was a little tricky to navigate as it is extremely narrow. The only thing that would’ve made this stay better is if the cabin had a hot tub! ;)

Weekend getaway
My husband, myself, and our 11 and 14 year old boys stayed at the cabin for Easter and it was PERFECT. We have made Easter small cabin getaways a tradition for many years, but our usual rental has been unavailable. I wasn't sure what to expect with 4 people and a small dog in such a small space for 2 days, but we had the best time! The boys opened their Easter baskets on the porch and I hid the Easter eggs all around the outside of the cabin. I loved that we could detox from phones/TV and the majority of the weekend was spent together on the porch (even with the rain). One thing to be noted...the driveway is large enough for one car and sits on the side of the hill with one side open to a drop. Turning our Outback around was a little scary for me the first time but there was plenty of room. I definitely would never take the truck to this location. Highly recommend and we will definitely be returning!!!

Perfect for an escape!
I really liked the cute little cottage and how comfortable it was. I was able to take my dog with me which made it even better! The view and privacy was amazing! I will be returning in the future.

Perfect mountain retreat!
Owl Getaway was the perfect place for my husband and I to spend our anniversary. The cabin was perfectly sized for the two of us! The loft bed was really comfortable and had way more headroom than I thought it would. We enjoyed sitting on the screened in porch watching the sun set, or strolling down the private lane after dinner. We enjoyed the fire pit one late afternoon as it took the chill off just enough to enjoy sitting outside in the beautiful woods. We loved the secluded feel to this location! We also explored several of the nearby towns: Berkley Springs and Hancock. Both had lots to see and do! We also went hiking at Eidolon Nature Preserve in West Virginia. That was a beautiful hike along the mountain ridge that led to a preservation house with a lovely view! I will be recommending this home to all my friends and family. Lord willing, we can return again one day! Thanks for a great stay!
