« Beautifully appointed & remodeled. Plenty of towels, toiletries & top notch kitchenware. Inviting, comfy down comforter & empty dressers/night stands with plenty of outlets & giant TV in the bedroom. Beautiful living room with very comfortable furniture, another giant TV, throws & pillows to cuddle up & watch a movie. Incredible views of green, lush landscape. We can't wait to visit again! »

« Great smaller home. Recently updated and was done very well. Very narrow garage door opening, but would work for most any type vehicle. Quiet neighborhood but not within walking distance of most anything. Great back yard with picknick table and nice lighting. It is a short drive to grocery stores and casual dinning. Also short drive to beach and fisherman's wharf and to the aquarium. »

« Well appointed cottage in Seaside, less than a mile from beautiful urban walking trails & ocean/beach access. Easy drive to Monterey as well. Found tons of delicious local eateries too. Had some trouble accessing property upon arrival, perhaps because we were 30 minutes early or because our welcome email had the incorrect code. Instructions were a little unclear, you have to use the back door. Property management company answered promptly and we got an updated code very quickly. Minor feedback...

« We really enjoyed our stay at this cottage. Everything was clean and comfortable. In my opinion the highlights were the fireplace and the garden. The kitchen was also great, wish we had stayed longer so we could’ve cooked in it. Would definitely stay again if we ever return to Carmel by the sea, which we hope to do one day! »

« To be honest, the pictures provided of the cottage dont do it enough justice. Palo Colorado Rd is initially intimidating but as long as you turn your lights on, take it slow and be cautious of other vehicles its a wonderful road to drive through. The cottage is plesantly private and has everything you would want/need. Both trails are well taken care of, felt very safe and at the end of each trail is a place to relax on chairs or a hammock. « This cottage was a convenient location to hang out and cook a few simple meals while in the area for the Sea Otter Bike festival. It housed me, my husband, and 18 year old son. There was good communication with the owners and no concerns noted. »

« We couldn't have been happier with our stay in Pacific Grove. Vivian is a great host, very accommodating and quick to answer any questions. The house was perfect for our needs. It has a well stocked kitchen, an area I could work remotely from, beautifully landscaped yard, and its in a great neighborhood just a few minutes drive to the beach. In addition to this, it was great being able to bring our dog with us for our stay. Would recommend this home for anyone looking to get away. »

« If the Whalers Cottage isn’t the definition of the word “CHILL!”, then I don’t know what else it could be! « House is woefully in need of many minor repairs. Wall sockets in bedrooms need to be replaced. Most important issue is slippery bathtubs with no grab rails. One shower has see through window to outside. We had to hang a towel outside to block it. Another shower had no light, bulb needs replacing. House lighting system is puzzling…whenever anyone gets up at night the entire house lights up. Heating system is poorly designed with one bedroom getting all the heat.
