Hotel en mauvais état très vieillot ! Juste bien placé et encore. Dîner avant 19:45. Petit dej avant 9:30… bruyant dans les couloirs. Salle de bain vraiment vieillotte. Et le parking est plein à 18:30 donc surtout s’y prendre à l’avance ! Staff jeune sympa et faisant de son mieux. Impossible de prendre son petit dej avec le belle vue car réservé aux “dogs” donc petit dej dans une salle obscure avec plein de rideaux bondée et avec seulement deux serveurs débordés car tout le monde arrive le plus tard possible ! Déçue

Le seul point fort de cet hôtel est la localisation. Le parking de l’hôtel étant complet nous avons dû nous garer au parking public , payant. La chambre était spacieuse et vue mer, ça c’était top, heureusement !! La peinture des murs de la chambre étaient toute cloquée à certains endroits, la moquette était usée et le chauffe-serviettes de la salle de bain ne fonctionnait pas, malgré le fait qu’on m’ait expliquée qu’il fallait éteindre l’interrupteur pour que le radiateur se mette en route ?!?? Et oui, l’inverse du bon sens, why 😳?? Nous sommes restés deux nuits dans cet hôtel, le ménage n’a absolument pas été fait le 2eme jour et les serviettes pas changées bien sûr. Je ne saurais jamais si c’était un oubli de leur part ou si dans cet hôtel le ménage est en supplément 🤔!!! Bref, je n’y retournerai pas.

Bon emplacement et hotel classique
Cet hotel semble être figé dans le temps et celà à son charme. Par contre nous étions dans les chambres en contrebas du parking, donc la vue était quelque peu limitée. C'était très calme, les lits étaient bons, la salle de bains propre le wifi excellent mais l'électricité dans la salle de bains est vraiment limite. Le petit déjeuner est dans la grande salle j'adore ! mais le choix est limité.

This is a very old hotel which looks like it was last updated in the 60’s. The staff was pleasant and helpful but the manager seemed as though he’d chosen the wrong profession for his career. You’d expect the hospitality service to offer hospitality. Apparently not. We’d thought checkout time was a half hour later than it was and he knocked on our door to let us know we were overstaying our welcome. The dining room help was overworked and understaffed and the food was underwhelming. Sorry to give such a sad review, but people should be informed before making the choice to stay here. I’d made the reservation using Expedia. Somehow, when I’d made the reservation I’d inadvertently selected to pay for the room ahead of time. When I’d looked at other reviews I changed my mind, but I was locked in. I’ll never do that again. On the positive side, it’s a great location, Oban is lovely, the staff was friendly and helpful (excluding the manager, and the internet was good. BTW, the TV didn’t work and the staff couldn’t fix it.

Wonderful historical hotel. Property does need some upgrades but that would also remove some of the charm. Meals were excellent. Staff was friendly and helpful.

It’s Oban but…. This place needs a maintenance person to fix up little things. Tired it is. Staff are not friendly. Not unfriendly but not engaging. We saw them actually fight with a guest. You guys need some lessons in how to treat guests so they leave happy. Day shift seemed worse than afternoon guy. Room was tired. Paint peeling, no face clothes, no shampoo, carpets dirty, come on, get it together guys, do some basic Reno’s. We won’t be back and I don’t recommend this place. You guys need to do better…

The place was a bit run down but you can’t beat the location! Right on the water, central to town. Breakfast was good. Rooms were clean. The place has obviously seen better days (clearly an older hotel) but totally fine place to stay. Plus great view of the water from the bar.

Overall the hotel is rather tired. It definitely needs a revamp, I encountered an issue with water leaking in my hotel room ! I changed rooms but it wasn’t ideal, TV wasn’t working. It was the only room available to me as an alternative. I had dinner on my 1st night but felt the menu was very limited, I didn’t enjoy the food. I doubt that I will be staying there again.

It was on good location room overlooking sea which was nice , but drafty at window which should be replaced , deco very tired stains on ceiling and walls , but the room was clean , so no complaint on that .

Room had new carpet but wallpaper peeling. Breakfast was disappointing with tinned tomatoes no choice of egg which was scrambled and i don't like and luke warm. The lady on dinningroom reception was rude and not very welcoming as we were 1 minute early for breakfast. Hope it improves for the Summer when we have an influx of visitors from around the world.

The bed was very comfortable and the room was very spacious. There was lovely views in the bar looking out onto the waterfront. Overall the bedroom needed updated there was paper peeling off the ceiling, there were stains on the carpet. Overall the hotel was just a bit tired.

Tired doesn’t begin to describe it. Peeling paint, broken window pane, electric sockets which don’t work, wires dangling from bathroom wall, tv pixelated beyond measure, and dirt, and dirt, and dirt. This place should not be listed as an hotel.

Excellent central location overlooking the bay, few minutes walk from ferry terminal, bus and train stations. Hotel good with professional, helpful and friendly staff.

I booked a standard twin room. All online pictures show shower room. My room had a shower tab in the bath. I asked if I was in a basic room and was advised there were no basic rooms. On line they advertise basic rooms.

The property is in a very poor condition, I base this on the condition of our room 207. The window frames are so bad the glass is held in place with silicone and even then you could quite easily have pushed the glass out Refurbishment is needed as it has the potential and location to be really good. The only feather in their cap was Rhurie and the reception staff.

The property was a bit dated, but clean and comfortable. The staff were a huge bonus! Every one I was in contact with was unfailingly warm, friendly, polite and eager to help.

The property was ok bed was comfortable .food was lovely.car parking was on a first come basis.hotel a bit dated but our stay fine.
