Vintage historic property in the heart of downtown Berkley .Great location. Staff were not particularly helpful or attentive. The night staff of one person was awful . After a long haul flight and numerous bags, it would have been great if there was better support. He offered no help at all.

The room is next to the construction which is noisy all the time. The restaurant downstairs is not good and expensive. The staff doesn’t care about you at all although it might be a special case since I saw other stuff were smiling. Also the staff told me that I can check out late the other day but on the day I checked out, she said no with no excuse. It almost made me miss my most important meeting. Overall not recommend.

I loved my stay at The Hotel Shattuck. My room was very pleasant and comfortable. The hotel decor is beautiful and It has a good vibe. I was really impressed with the quality of the food as well. I would stay here again. The only downside is there is very little street parking and you have to park in the parking garage across the street at $46 per night.

The room is fairly clean. With everything you will need. But you can hear the noice on the road very clearly with windows closed. Also sounds of air conditioning, water running and other noice is making it hard to sleep at night

We liked the hotel and the service. There was major construction going on literally right outside our window that started at 7:10am. It was very noisy and disruptive…..a rude awakening . We would stay again despite this.

It was perfect, cute, clean. We really liked there was a bar and restaurant in the facility. Wish it would have stay open 11 PM, but still nice. We would definitely stay there again and pay extra for the parking.

There was construction early in the morning but other than that I would recommend staying here! Very close to UC Berkeley, staff is very friendly and a lot of food options.

The room was beautiful, had everything we needed and was very clean. While the area around the hotel is under construction, we weren't bothered because we were there for its proximity to Cal, a mere 5 minute walk. There are a number of tasty restaurants nearby and the Bart station is literally across the street. It was the perfect base camp for our Cal visit.

The air conditioner in my room rattled throughout my entire stay. They first offered to tix the noise and never followed up with me for a change of room. I am thankful that I didn't have to stay in the room throughout the day as I just used it to sleep for a few (uncomfortable) hours.
