« Since we live 2 hours away, we spent one night here in order to be on time for a medical procedure at the nearby Marshfield Clinic fairly early the next morning. We found the room clean and comfortable, just what we needed. The heater in the room was quiet and kept an even temperature. Breakfast included waffles and Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches, rounding out the usual fare of cereal and breadstuffs. « The cabin was nice and quiet. Neighbors were very nice and helpful. The scenery was beautiful. There was really no decent place to park our pontoon trailer and the dock that was pictured online was not the dock for roadside 1 cabin. We had to ask the neighbor which dock to use. And the entry to the dock was over grown with lake weeds which made a tripping hazard. A friendly suggestion is to have a sign directing which dock to use. « Couldn’t get into the rental for over 4 hours due to a dead battery on the combination lock. TV didn’t work and was misled about WIFI when I was texted I would get a password for WIFI. The shower was unsafe to use having to step over a bathtub with no grab bars to hold on to. The grounds around the cottage were unsafe with holes and uneven surfaces by the step to the porch and throughout the resort. « This place is so cute! The retro feel makes it feel like home. The view was amazing. Listening to the tree frogs and watching the loons could not have been more enjoyable. « Had a good trip riding sleds. House was as good as advertised, only thing to caution if you bring multiple truck/trailers they won’t fit in the driveway. But the northern motel and cafe is next door and they let us park there which was very helpful. And their breakfast was great! Trail access was right at end of driveway and a great location for going in multiple directions. No issues renting again! »
