Staff was very friendly. Check in was quick and efficient. We were a little concerned about the area the hotel was in, but we stayed without any negative experiences. The room was comfortable, parking was abundant. Our only grievance was the difficulty in using the television as there was no guide to access.

I wish I would’ve checked recent reviews. This place is not in good condition. Staff are very kind but that’s the end of the good news. Upon entering, the floors were dirty. I should’ve taken this as a warning sign. After check in, the elevator had a cleaning bottle on the floor. I got to my floor and the halls were very smelly. It smelled like someone had crop dusted. I got to my room with my nose turned up. Room seemed okay but was very dated. I did some work for about 10 minutes and decided to check out. I left and the bottle was still in the elevator and the hallway was still smelly. Do not recommend.

Our heater/AC unit didnt work so we had to keep the window open to cool the room down. But the room was clean. Breakfast was good. Room above us was kinda loud but we cant blame the hotel for that. Overall a nice place.

Don't stay here!
FILTHY! First room we were given "looked" as if it had been cleaned but as we inspected it we found hairs in the bed, hairs and toothpaste in the sink, no drain stopper in the sink, hairs on the toilet, obvious dirty pillow cases and drink rings on the side tables and only one towel (no other bath linens) This room hadn't been cleaned at all.I went to the front desk to ask for a different room and was given what I was told was a better room. I have added pictures of this better room in this review. We would have left but it was so late we could not find another and had been traveling for 11 hours. At approx 1:30am I went out to have a smoke and behind the front desk was an unknown gentleman sleeping in the chair at the front desk who had obviously been drinking and was not an employee of the hotel. I contacted the corporate office the next day regarding these issues and asked them to call me and instead I was sent a standard email asking me to stay there again. Sorry but that isn't going to happen! We ended up purchasing cleaning products to clean the room ourselves and using a blanket we had in the car just to get a few hours sleep.We have stayed in many Holiday Inn Express Hotels and this is NOT one that I believe should represent their brand. Their CEO would be hugely disappointed to see it and should pull their franchise until it is cleaned up.

The person at the front desk had a language barrier when asked basic questions. My room card got deactivated during my stay. 11am check out is early compared to other hotel chains. It was clean and quiet with a variety of breakfast items available.

Not clean. Rude staff.
Staff was rude. Room was not clean and sheets were dirty. Asked for a new room, they said no because they were fully booked. Asked for someone to come clean or at least change the sheet, they said no because housekeeping had gone home. Asked for our money back so we could go to another hotel, they said no because we used a “3rd party booking site.” They did give us clean sheets to change the beds ourselves, and I found some clorox wipes to clean the bathroom with. It wasn’t a good start to our vacation.

I need the option of ZERO stars!! The room smelled like cat urine!! The fridge leaked water everywhere, the toilet was broken so we had to take the lid off the back to flush the toilet! Tell me how a housekeeper can clean a bathroom if the toilet doesn’t flush?? Shower curtain was filthy! Hand towels were dirty!! We told the guy at the front desk THE MINUTE we saw our room that we needed a new room-he stared at his computer screen for 5 minutes and said “all the rooms are assigned”-when I asked if everyone has arrived to check in, he admitted they had not but kept saying “they’re already assigned”, he told me he would “speak to my manager” and get back to me-10 minutes later I went back. “I can’t reach him, he’ll be here in 2 hours”. We had a concert to go to and didn’t have time to wait. Then he says “you have problem with room?” Yeah…we do!!! What the heck!!! He refused to give us another room and we tried to go somewhere else and they were booked up in the area! I want a refund-it was disgusting and the staff is inept!!!

If I were in charge, I would shut this room down. The musty smell hit you as soon as you opened the door. The curtains were ripped. The washcloth looked like a cleaning rag. The shower curtain was filthy. There was dirt piled I. The hallway. Just an awful experience. We stayed one night and cancelled the second night. We would have left the same night but it was too late and we couldn’t find a room anywhere else. The front desk never answered the phone but when I went down directly after calling the lady was sitting there watching a movie on her tablet eating ice cream. We didn’t eat the complimentary breakfast because we felt the kitchen could be just as dirty as the rest of the place.

Pool listed as closed at least 2 months on website. Called day before reservation to check and the response was that the chemicals would be added that day and pool open the next day. Turned out that was not true. Front desk said these chemicals were on back order for months and the third party who answers the phones kept telling wrong info. Kids very disappointed. Generally place needs updated but overall is decent, best one in that area if you need to stay a bit further out from the bigger towns.

No towels in room called front desk 4 different times so I eventually had to go downstairs for them. Booked this specific hotel because it had a pool when we arrived saw a note pool Was closed for refurbishment as of the week before. I wish we had been notified we would have switched hotels as we booked 2 months ago and were not warned about this.

I have to say my biggest thing about a hotel is the bed. I found these to be on the firmer side. I prefer a little softer bed, but to each their own, I'm just putting it out there. Everything else was good. Pool was posted to be out of service. We didn't want to use it. Breakfast was very tasty, eggs, sausage, pancakes, toasts, muffins and bagels. We liked the Steamers Tavern acoss the road from the hotel.

Hot breakfast was nice but tasted as they usually do for thirst types of places. Steamers restaurant across the street was delicious. Only other restaurant close was DQ.
