Weather was April spring--cool but pleasant walking the beaches, exploring dunes, watching white waves, feeling the lake breeze. Michigan City is not just a summer vacation spot! « This place worked well for a short trip visiting Indiana Dunes. The only issue we had was that the cleaning crew hadn’t come by before we got there, but that was likely just a fluke and the host was very quick to respond when I messaged him about it and had it completely taken care of within an hour. Michigan City is a good location to find nearby restaurants and is just 10 minutes to the eastern side of the National Park. »

« We came to the Market House for our 7 year wedding anniversary. The space was perfect for the two of us. On Saturday we were heading to the Indiana Dunes State Park and walked out to a farmer's market in the parking lot behind the building. We're big hikers so we did the 3 dune challenge, but I saw there was an outlet mall nearby if shopping is more your speed. There's also a tram that runs through the area and into Chicago if you need a day trip to the big city. Easy in, easy out, dedicated...

« We were in town for a wedding, and enjoyed a quiet comfortable stay close to town. The home is clean and comfortable, with amenities galore. The host is friendly and makes communication a pleasure. Highly recommend staying here when visiting the lake! »

« We wanted to do some outlet shopping. This lovely old house is right across the street from the mall. It was very clean and well furnished. The beds were comfy and the neighborhood was quiet. We had a lovely weekend. »

« We loved our stay at the Cozy Getaway! We brought our two large breed dogs and their dog-sitter, Furbo. If you have dogs that react to noise you'll want to be aware this space is one of 4 units in this lovely remodeled century home. We had to make the owner aware of an issue with the air conditioning not working and they promptly sent their handyman to save the day! If watching tv in bed is your idea of romance, you'll have to move the only tv though. The location is top notch with the shops and...

« Very nice apartment that we use to house our director and to host business meetings. Close to many restaurants, shopping, the lakefront and the casino. We will definitely book again next time we are in the area. The host was attentive and responsive — a 10 out of ten!! »

« Comfortable and everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The hosts, Rhoda & Thomas were very nice and Freeman that took us on the buggy ride was great! The area is beautiful with all the farms around and the location is a nice drive into town. We were able to walk around the farm and visit the goats, cows and chickens and they had a dog (Cassie), the greeted us daily for some love. Overall, it was a great stay and I highly recommended staying here and will in the future if traveling to the area....

« We LOVED our stay here and plan to be back! Perfect cozy house by the beach. The deck is so nice and gives you so much extra space. Owners were very responsive and helpful during our stay. Steps down to the beach are fairly steep. I brought my arthritic 10 year old dog and she did good, but keep in mind for older dogs or anyone with stair issues. Parking is right next to the house which is so convenient. I honestly can’t think of any other amenities that would have made the trip better! »

« The house was so cute and the perfect size for us. We enjoyed watching the Amish with their buggy from the front porch. We went to the flea market and only covered about 1/3 of it. We will need to make another trip later this summer to cover the rest. Weather was perfect. »
