The Castle Hill Inn is an excellent place to stay in Newport, RI. It is first class, wonderful views, great staff, and excellent rooms and service. I would go back year after year if I could.

Sunset right outside our window, woke up at 4:00 AM and the moon was framed in our window, and as beautiful as that was it still pales to the property and the magnificent harbor views. Put this together with a great crew and the quintessential historic building with all its unique charm, a great stay!!!

This place is beautiful, but it is far, far too expensive to provide spotty service. At these prices, the service should be exceptional every minute of every day. Unfortunately, not so much.

Spent two nights to celebrate our 45th wedding anniversary. We were in Harbor House, which is group of 6 rooms in front of the main inn overlooking the water. We had cozy room with gas fireplace and great water views. The food was excellent, and the staff could not have been nicer or more attentive. It helped we had gorgeous weather particularly for May.

A huge disappointment!
It is such a disappointment! We stayed at a lord king room. For more than $400 a night, we expected the ceiling to be taller than my husband’s head and the bathroom to be bigger than a powder room. If you are more than 6 feet tall, I suggest you stay away from this room. The room feels very cramped and dingy. There was dust everywhere. The wall is paper thin. You could hear the people next door talking, and worst of all, you could hear them opening and closing their bathroom door ( because the door squeaked) and using the bathroom. The bed was ok. And that’s the only good thing I can say about this room.

We celebrated our 30th. Wedding anniversary at Castle Hill. It was absolutely beautiful. Our room , at one of the Beach Houses , was amazing. The breathtaking views were incredible. Everyone at the Inn was so courteous and friendly. The service was top notch! We are looking forward to a future longer stay!

This was a wonderful property with prompt and courteous service. The staff went out of their way to accommodate our needs. The foos was outstanding for every meal. We would definitely return!

What a gem!
At the very last minute, Due to a winter storm, the special one of a kind room we had booked was not available because of a water leak. The staff at the front desk bent over backwards to accommodate my disappointment and found a lovely alternative for my husband and I. I cannot thank them enough for finding a way to make our getaway weekend special. The afternoon tea and in room breakfast were perfect.
