“The Moderne : super hôtel à recommander !”

Surtout demandez les chambres qui donnent sur la rue ! Car sinon les autres donnent sur un mur, c'est moins fun. La déco est...moderne et le lit king size. L'emplacement est idéal, à quelques minutes à pied du métro et de Times Square. Plein de restos autour pour prendre le petit déj et quartier sécure. Vraiment à recommander !

Ré-ouverture après rénovation en février 2011. Situation des plus excellentes. Une très grande quantité de lieux touristiques, salles de spectacles et de bons restaurants sont à distance de marche. Métro tout proche. Notre chambre (701) était meublé avec goût et fonctionnelle sauf pour une petite salle de bain. Présence d'un frigo. Wi Fi gratuit avec un bon débit. Une table de travail aurait été appréciée. Pas de service de restauration.

“I can not find any fault with this hotel AT ALL”

From the moment we arrived, to getting into the taxi to leave our stay at the Moderne was superb. Nothing was too much trouble and each request or inquiry led to the staff going over and beyond the request to assist us. I literally can not fault them. Always a smile, recommendation or ready to chat about our day. They deserve a lot of recognition. The hotel itself was stunning, clean and the only fault I have with it was that it's so comfortable gettting up and ready to go out and explore New York was a chore. Since arriving home I have told everyone about the Hotel and recommended people to go to New York simply to stay there. I myself can not wait to go back. Thank you for making our Girls 30th holiday an amazing one.

The Moderne staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Their complimentary wine and cheese was just right at the end of a busy day. The room and hotel were sparkling clean. I would go back in a flash!

“Awesome location, very nice staff.”

The hotel was actually large compared to some of the others that I saw when researching. the bed was great, very comfortable. the bathroom was small but i was expecting that. Shower was great. only complaint would be that the shower looked a little dingy like it needed a good scrubbing but not really "dirty". The fridge didn't work so i reported it the first evening and then checked it the next evening when we returned to the hotel but it was still not working. I spoke with Teddy at the desk and told him it was still not fixed and that i had to drink a hot coke which was gross! :o) He not only got it fixed but when i got back they had left an ice cold coke in the fridge for me. Nice touch! they were very friendly and helpful. the hotel is small , only 35 rooms so it felt more homey and personal. I loved the Andy Warhol type decor. The location couldn't be better. you can get or see anything you need or want within a 3 or 4 block walk. Highly recommend this place.

“THE BEST HOTEL I HAVE EVER STAYED AT IN MANHATTAN, NYC!!”

I cannot even begin to tell you how WONDERFUL my stay was at this hotel. The first and most important part of our stay was the staff, Victoria who was at the front desk greeted us with a smile and with an interest in how are vacation was going every time we walked in the door, it was so nice to have someone who genuinely cares about their guests unlike the big hotels who only want your money. Then CJ who was our bell man/ door man was just a lot of fun and very personable. Ted at the front desk was a pleasure and suggested some great places to eat nearby. The hotel was CLEAN and MODERN and the rooms were just PERFECT in size and comfort. Fresh lines everyday on the bed, nice comfotable bath robes and bath towels, classy modern shower with high-end modern fixtures which I would love to see in my own home. The bed was comfortable and BIG; the television was a nice touch which gave us the local news and weather which is all you need really. The location was PERFECT as it was within blocks to Times Square, Madison Ave, 5th Ave and the subway station was a block away and would take you anywhere in the city, uptown or downtown. In a word this please is PERFECT and I am looking forward to going back to visit the people in the great city. I am going to write the company a letter to tell them what a great staff they have and how they made this vacation to NYC unforgettable.
