This property was a short walk from Bourbon st. The staff was awesome. My room was also nice but it didn't have a microwave or fridge. There was a mini bar by you had to purchase tne items. The balcony was the best part of the room. It was a nice size. As i was checking in and out I heard them telling people that their deposit would be issued in no time. I am over a week from my stay and I haven't received mine yet. I give 3 stars because of the missing microwave and fridge.

There was a fire at the hotel and no safety precautions were taking. I was supposed to get points added to my account to get a free night stay at any IHG hotel and they never gave me my point.

The Intercontinenal Hotel is an older (but updated) hotel in the French Quarter of New Orleans. It is a perfect location to walk to the restaurants, galleries, music, etc. The check-in staff was amazing, friendly and efficient. However, the valet is horrible. For $50 a day, we expected much better service. More than half the time, we had to walk over the partking lot to get our car ourselves. The rooms were nice, the beds were comfortable and the bathroom was updated. Unfortunately, there is NO mini-fridge for personal useage in the room. The only firdge was stocked full of drinks that you could buy, but we could not empty our cooler for our own beverages so we made good use of the ice machine while we were there. The fitness room is good and has towels, wipes, water etc. All in all a great stay, but the parking situation was pretty bad.

Original room we were checked into smelled of sewage as soon as we walked in the door. Checked the toilet but was nothing there. Had to take all of our stuff back down to the lobby and request a new room. The front desk worker didn’t seemed shocked when we told her what it smelled of. Thankfully she was very helpful and got us another room within a few minutes.

I enjoyed everything about this property but especially valet. Those gentlemen were kind and efficient each time I requested my car. I was very pleased with the service. The hotel was clean and quiet and we were able to enjoy many walks to the various areas to enjoy the city. I loved this property.

The signage on the building and instructions for parking were lacking. For the price, breakfast should be included. Other patrons of the hotel were quite loud and playing music in the hallways late into the night that was disruptive.

Overall, our stay at the InterContinental during French Quarter Fest was good. Two annoyances about our hotel room - there was no privacy/light filtering curtain in our room, only a blackout curtain. Our room stared at an office building across the street with workers in it all day during the week. So we had to keep the blackout curtains closed, making the room very dark during the day. The second complaint is that our room was on the 14th floor directly below the gym facility. We were awoken every morning between 5:45 AM and 6:30 AM from people working out and dropping weights. Very poor hotel design to put the gym above guest rooms.

The hotel was ordinary however the cost to stay was notably higher than expected plus all the extras on top of that. e.g. no breakfast included, extra costs for the snacks and alcohol in the room at exorbitant prices.

Absolutely loved this hotel. I ended up staying an extra day here. Room was clean and was close distance to where I needed to go. Restaurant at hotel was amazing and the staff was super helpful and nice.

The hotel is very unique. Our room had torn sheers which made to room look old and tired. The ottoman was also old and peeling. The pillows were for a twin which didn't fit a king size bed. A few things to fit and overall a decent place to stay.

The pool was disgusting and filled with dead bugs, the room had broken/loose tiles in the shower and the shower head was not working properly. There were a lot of tiny details that were wrong, like damaged power outlets and a tiny TV too far from the bed to be watchable. The TV system was very outdated and didn't allow Netflix or similar smart apps. Pillows were all cheap and thin and not very comfortable. The larger pillows were just the small pillows mashed together in large pillowcases and just felt lumpy and hard. Probably the worst pillows of any hotel I've ever been in. Our room was facing an adjacent parking structure with bright lights all night, and even on the upper floors, the street noises were bothersome, especially the streetcar on St-Charles Avenue. The soundproofing could have been a lot better. The housekeeping service was good however, and we were given extra pillows upon request for all the good that did us. The whole hotel had an unpleasantly outdated and unmaintained vibe that doesn't match what's expected of a 4-star hotel. It was a shoddy imitation of a good hotel. Even the main entrance was just a single pane of sliding door that bottlenecked people going in or out. I do not recommend staying there for any duration.

Les points faibles : Propreté, personnel et service, équipements et infrastructures et conditions de l’hébergement
Hotel room carpet dirty, luke warm water from the shower, shower stopper doesn’t work so you’re standing in luke warm water while you shower. Said something about it they have someone come in the room that doesn’t fix anything, but says we used their mini bar stuff when we didn’t. Valet attendant just leaves post vacant (short girl with blonde locs) for 20 minutes to go get food then tells us it will be 5 minutes for car takes another 15 minutes. I wouldn’t let my dog stay in the POS 0/10 will never recommend!!!!
