Relaxation at its best.
The place is amazing. It is truly a beautiful resort. Kat and Francheska, the bartenders at Luna bar and by the pool, were both great! They made my stay so much more enjoyable as I was traveling alone. I’m really glad I made trip to Sunlight Resort.

I loved our overwater bungalow villa. The scenery was amazing. Only negative on this trip was that we went during typhoon season and a typhoon had access to and from the island cut off, so we were unable to do our Coron island tour.

The property is old and not kept well. Our bedding were dirty with blood stain when we arrived . There were cracks on the walls and floor and bugs and lizard in our rooms. Mind you we had 3 separate family with separate rooms. All same poor condition. The only thing that made this place great are the people the staff are hard working and nice. But, place was bad! HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED!! The food selection was limited. Each time we order something they come Back saying its no longer available. Also going to places in the property is so inconvenient. Not to mention when I arrived from the airport to the location no one picked me up from the hotel until 2 hours later at the dock. I DO NOT recommend this place!

The resort met our expectations in its beauty, luxury, and service. The setting is stunning with reefs off their beaches accessible by just swimming with a mask and snorkel(free!). It is on an isolated island 40 minute boat ride from Coron town proper. The food is awesome, but not all the restaurants are available everyday. The breakfast buffet(included) is great with enough Pilipino food to keep natives happy! The prices are at luxury levels but reasonable in terms of US dollars. Airport transfers (bus and boat) are not included and you MUST arrange and pay in advance! The correct phone number is 63 286571918. They do not respond via the Expedia messaging option. Get the Viber messaging app. This is the way they communicate throughout the day about restaurant options and reservations, tours, and services. It is essential to prevent frustration about restaurant options.

As an island resort, guests have limited access to island resort facilities/activities at night - gym closes at 7pm - 3 beaches are closed at 6pm - swimming pool closed at 7pm - pool bar follows the swimming pool 7pm closing - in-room TV only have limited saved movies (no cable TV) - 10 restaurants on the island but if one gets pre-booked, guests were not notified ahead of time to allow guest to re-arrange dining schedule (esp if guest craving for certain food type - Filipino, Chinese, Italian, Japanese) TRANSFER TO ISLAND: Istead of dining at the Sunlight Hotel in Coron Town, we had to quickly eat at outside caridenria to make it to the 15mins ferry service departing from Coron town, (in-house resto cannot quickly cook a food), but then got booted out at last minute of the ferry service from Coron town proper and had to wait for another hour for the ferry coming from the island. Wasted our time and all you get is "Sorry".

We absolutely loved the efficiency and sensitivity of the staff. Although there were other tourists there, the staff made us feel like it was just my wife and I. It was incredible the quality of everything there. We would totally come again and are recommending it to others. Loved it!

Unhappy with customer service.
The resort was a very pleasant stay, However, their sister hotel in Coron town is a complete opposite. The customer service sucks, to say the least. No one answers the phone and the customer service, hotel and the resorts staffs don't communicate well. The mgr (Meds, I believe is he name )at the coron hotel that guests needs to stay awaiting transport to the resort is useless and incompetent. She hid in her office avoiding guest complains. The resort mgr at the resort, is a lot better and very accommodating. They made us feel they really care about our stay. The food section is okay, staffs are accommodating but need some improvement on the service and food selection. Overall, the stay is pleasant and relaxing, too bad the Coron Hotel ruin it for us.

Room service was terrible, it took over an hour for them to bring every order. Einstein himself couldn’t figure out why it took 45 minutes to make a frozen margarita. Drinks arrived melted with a chunk of ice in the middle. On top of the slow service the reviews about the food not being good was right. Too pricy and not very tasty. Other than the food, drinks, and prices the resort was nice. 20 USD for dinner is far too much in the Philippines for what was served.

The Hotel itself was great, staff were wonderful I couldn’t complain about anything else, but the food that the serve from the buffet needs a lot of improvement. It was so amazing. When we arrive, we were greeted with the staff with a shell made necklace & a mango juice drink, the check in process was speedy. All the staff were all smiles and greets everywhere you go.
