Great location for the views. One issue is as we discovered the fog closes in then the fog horn blasts out constantly about 100m from the bedrooms all throughout the night. Also get use to load shedding

This property is exceptionally well positioned but requires a lot more maintenance and staff training. I hope the owner takes a vested interest in a face lift in the hotels interior and the way in which it is presented to tourists. This could be an amazing hotel, but sadly it is becoming more of a motel experience.

Mossel Bay, The Point Hotel
The sea-facing rooms are right over the rocks and it was lovely and relaxing lying in bed listening to the waves crashing. Staff are very friendly and helpful and full of smiles. Definitely will be back

Disgusting
This hotel is in a disgusting state. I would rather stay in a Formula 1 than stay at this hotel again. Really disappointing that the owners allow paying customers to be lured by the location which is great! But the hotel is disgusting

Staff were friendly and hotel is clean. It is an old building and maintenance has been lacking a bit. Perfectly fine for a quick stay however I feel it's over priced for the state of the hotel.

Stay away if ure a couple vist. U must ASK for towels...... Lift is out of service. No licr liscense Place needs a serious makeover. Aircon not working. Must be a ☆☆ accomodation lodge. Breakfast...... ALWAYS LOW BUDGET. ALWAYS NO SCRAMBLE EGG AMD RAW WATERY BEACON. They close the kitchen for residents for their famous groups .. Indian travel groups their favorite source of income.... and very noisy till 00h00. Building needs serous update.

Staff friendly and helpful, but the hotel is no longer worth a 4 star! All old and shabby needs a complet renovation. Elevator out of service and so was tge Spa too... Great location and anazing view.

As indicated above, all aspects were very good, the breakfast was outstanding & of course the view/proximity to the ocean is beyond compare with the soothing sound of the sea 24/7

Not a 4*, more like a 2*. Not worth the location.
We checked in around 4:30 pm wanting to use the advertised Spa Tub and then have dinner, but all amenities were closed, including the kitchen and bar for dinner and drinks. When we got to the room, it did not have the shower/tub combo as advertised, it was dirty, and the furniture was sparse; looked more like a student dorm room than a hotel room. We quickly realized the hotel was not as advertised and decided to leave. The front desk clerk promised the manager would call, and we would receive a refund, but the manager never called, and after contacting the hotel many times and being given the run around for five months, we have never received the refund. The manager is shady and very unprofessional. We ended up staying at Protea Hotel by Marriott Mossel Bay Instead, which was amazing!

Third visit. Not happy. Aircon only blows cold. NO WI-FI. The staff knew this, but happily gave out the code. After trying to link up, they admitted that the hotel does not have Wi-Fi. Lift does not work. Wet bubble filled with water hanging from our ceiling…?.? Shower had black mould in the corners.

Mix bag of WOW and not so great
The view is great and staff friendly and helpfull. Sheldon is the Jack of all trades and a very nice man, from breakfast, barman and helping to with luggage. A real asset to the Hotel. The parking is an issue and you cant leave anything in the car. Spectacular views. A good derp cleaning will do wonders though. Some maintenance as well. Sliding door struggling to close and lock, and half remove fitting in the shower. Nice breakfast with great views, but not using a great balcony option?

Die Lage des Hotels ist atemberaubend. Ein grosser Balkon direkt über der Brandung. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich - das Hotel selbst ist allerdings in die Jahre gekommen und hätte eine Sanierung nötig. Wer sich daran nicht stört, der kann jedoch die fantastische Lage geniessen.

Our stay was not at all bad. Housekeeping was not up to scratch as there were no hand towels in our room. We also had to exchange a bath towel as it had a big brown mark on it. The shower was great and so the sea view.

Stunning View Next to Lighthouse.
Hi Me & Hubby went for a couples break. View was stunning next to the Lighthouse, we stayed on the 5th floor. Our room was nice & clean. Staff members very friendly and helpful. Close to all amenities. We will definitely recommend this accommodation. Although we had bad weather Mosselbay is a wonderful town with lots to do. Or just enjoy the view from the room.
