« This was a great stay, the camper and property were exactly as described. The roads surrounding the property are dirt, and can be pretty rutted in some places. I made it in my 2WD rental, but use caution! Wound up having a bonfire with the owner and other guests on property. Very memorable :) »

« This is the perfect location for a home base. We were an hour from Mesa Verde, Hovenweep, Arches, Canyonlands-Needles District, and Natural Bridges. There was even more within a 90 minute drive. Our problem is we didn't book a longer vacation. The view of the Abajo Mountains from the living room was awesome. There was a hawk nesting in one of the pines in the back yard. Our first afternoon at the house a group of 9 mule deer came into the yard, and after they left a second group of 11 wandered...

« We had a very good time during our Blanding stay as we used the comfortable and welcoming Big Bear house as headquarters for our Cedar Mesa hiking and exploration. The home is remodeled and decorated in a welcoming and non-fussy manner; we felt at home. The kitchen in particular deserves a shout-out; it was complete with quality pans, dishes, and appliances. »

It is very comfortable, and the host Laura has obviously gone out of her way to make her home feel like yours—from her welcoming note & lemon cake, to all of the personal touches throughout the house, both inside & outside. « We enjoyed our stay so much! It was much closer to fantastic hikes than we realized and the fenced yard was PERFECT for our dogs! It was also a lot larger than we expected and very well stocked with dishes etc, and they even had little snacks for us. Steve was SUCH a good communicator, it was easy to get any questions answered and he kept us informed of local weather, etc. We will absolutely come back to this place! »

« It's a good location and a lovely lodge. It is important to know what the home has to offer fully before booking. I had planned to travel there during a rather warm period and when booking I saw that it had air conditioning. Upon arrival the A/C is actually only two portable A/C units in the living room. It was about 79 degrees in the living room area (with A/C's running). In the bedrooms and upstairs it was significantly warmer. Warm enough that after showering I was still dripping sweat. ...

« Un véritable havre de paix où il fait bon de se reposer et se détendre dans un petite maison individuelle avec tout le confort nécessaire. Les petites attentions eparpillées dans la maisonette ici et là ( barres de céréales, fruits, snacks..) par la propriétaire ont été fortement appréciées.
