Amazing lodge in wine country
We had a group of 9 adults and 6 kids and had plenty of room for everyone. The lodge is gorgeous with vaulted ceilings and log beams plus a river rock fireplace. We loved the wrap around deck and views of the valley. The kitchen is well equipped. We are already talking about our next visit, this place is awesome!

Amazing
This property is absolutely amazing…it easily holds 18 individuals and has enough space for everyone to enjoy activities together. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen is large, the property is super clean, and it has amazing views for morning coffee…it’s simply fantastic!!

Good vibes
This house and property were great for our large group. Big yard to play in, space to walk around and pick blackberries, and we saw deer! The kitchen was well stocked for cooking and the space fit our, and children’s, needs. Owner was very responsive on a few questions we had. Would definitely recommend!

Beautiful home
This home was perfect for our first ever family reunion. It’s not only beautifully decorated, but so spacious, we didn’t feel crowded, even with 24 of us! The bedrooms and bathrooms were roomy and comfortable. The kitchen was well-stocked, and there was just about every game and activity for everyone! I was concerned that our teens and younger children might be bored, but there was plenty for them to do. We did run low on dishwasher pods. I emailed Polly about it, and she responded immediately to tell me where to find more. Everyone in our group raved about the house and how much fun they had. Our 3 day weekend was over way too quickly! We would love to come back sometime in the future. Thank you Polly, for your attention to all the details.

Modern rustic lodge feel
My family throughly enjoyed our reunion at Fern Hill Lodge! It’s so beautiful, well maintained and spacious. The kitchen is well stocked with all the dishes needed to cook for a large group, and all the cabinets and drawers are labeled with their contents. Plenty of options for areas to hang out as a group. Amazing theater room, hot tub, and the kiddos loved their privacy in The Nest. A lot of great memories were made. We would definitely stay here again!

Breathtaking views! Early morning coffee on the deck to the stars twinkling bright at night, the view was beautiful! The lodge had something for everyone in our family reunion, 24 of us, all ages. Beautiful decor inside and outside. Polly is a fabulous host!! The only problem for us, was not enough time there!!

Family Reunion Heaven
We had a wonderful family reunion at Fern Hill Lodge. There were plenty of activities to keep us busy on site, but also a great location for a beach day, and lots of other options nearby as well. The property had all the cooking supplies and things we needed to stay busy, and enjoy being with each other. Polly was wonderful to work with. I would highly recommend a stay here!

Family Reunion
This property is meticulously maintained and there are helpful labels everywhere so you can find anything you're looking for. We had 20 family members stay for a reunion and we ALL loved it. It is the best VRBO property I have ever stayed at. I enjoyed hanging out with my sisters on the deck. The kids enjoyed 'catch & release' fishing on the pond. The teenagers loved the theater room. Also, dinners were a breeze in a kitchen that has everything. Truly an amazing property!

Outdoor Education Work Retreat
As Outdoor Educators we reserved this space for an equity retreat and it was perfect! There was plenty of room for everyone, the space was very grounding and educational. It was a wonderful way to work and play together as a team. Communication was fantastic. So grateful for the opportunity!

Women’s Encounter
We are a group of Christian women who get away to Encounter the presence of God and study the Word of God (Holy Bible). We introduce Christ to the women, offer baptism, teach and mentor them. This is a very special time with them. Fern Hill Lodge is so comfortable and accommodating. It is a beautiful property which offers everything we need! Thank you Polly McCrea! We love this house!

Good spot for a work retreat!
Beautiful spot for a work retreat. Quiet and peaceful. Woke up to a beautiful view of the sunrise and birds singing every morning. The house was perfect and if it isn't, Polly will do everything she can to make it right. We had a chirping smoke detector this time and she immediately sent one of her sons out to fix the issue (very nice man). Everything has always been as promised and would definitely use this property again.

Wonderful lodge
We had a great time enjoying all the activities at the lodge. It was perfect for our family gathering. We didn’t enjoy having to remove the boxelder bugs each day.

So sorry about the bugs! They come out of the woods in the Spring when the weather suddenly warms. They don’t usually get inside though so we will do some trouble shooting. They are harmless, don’t bite or even fly much. Just a reminder that you are indeed in the country.

One of our favorite houses!!!
We love staying at this property. It's perfect for a larger group, has fun amenities like the theater and lots of space. The common areas are big enough for everyone, but there's places to escape when you need a minute! It's gorgeous, and always well stocked.

Wonderful lodge experience
Our group had a great time at Fern Hill lodge! The little touches throughout the home and property made it feel welcoming and well-hosted. Plenty of space for our group to spread out and gather. The large kitchen was well-equipped for group meals. We enjoyed games at the dining room table, hot tub soaks under the stars, and peaceful walks down to the fishing pond. Would be even more dreamy to come in the summer- which I hope to do someday!

Great property, beware of weather conditions
Property is great and exactly as listed except for renters should be aware that the property sits atop of a steep hill. We couldn’t get up on the first night using 4x4 and chains and saw many cars had slid off the side of the road trying to make it up the roughly 1 mile road to reach the property. We also slid down when we attempted, but luckily we didn’t slide off the road. Similar conditions driving through the rest of the road with cars that slid off (with a steep fall on some portions of the road). This is likely an uncommon occurrence (not being able to access the property), but the landlord is firm on the no refunds policy. This is fine, however the risk should be explicitly stated to customers as it is a defining characteristic of this property. The landlord agreed to giving us an additional day to make up for the first one.

Sorry about the once every 100 years ice storm!! This has never happened before and our road has always been accessible even in snowy weather. We never talked about a refund but I did offer you another night. Thousands of people have been affected by the severe winter storms causing them to miss family gatherings and more. I’m glad that yours was only delayed one day. You had quite an adventure!

Another Amazing Stay at Fern Hill
My friends and I stayed at this property before a few years ago and we knew we would be back! It is perfect for large gatherings and has plenty of space for 24 people. Fern Hill Lodge..LOVED this property (and Polly!)
My group of 9 lifelong friends were celebrating Milestone birthdays, and a recent retirement, and chose Fern Hill Lodge as our home base for a trip to the Oregon Wine country! So grateful for the chance to stay in this beautiful, comfortable, luxurious, roomy manor. Plenty of room for our group of 9 people to spread out, relax, and just enjoy being together. The house came with everything we needed, including such a well appointed kitchen that the personal chef we hired was totally impressed! Highlights included the hot tub, the decks on the property, the expansive grounds and the walks to the pond, and last but not least, the movie room. We were able to watch Bugs Bunny cartoons during breakfast down there and also a special video presentation one of our friends put together for the week. When the chef wasn't there, we took turns cooking meals for each other. The huge dining room table accommodated all of us and we were able to celebrate wonderfully! Thanks Polly for a lovely home base in Oregon that we all enjoyed. Wish we had booked 2 weeks!

A group of 14 of us stayed at Polly’s to explore Willamette Valley wineries. We were about an hour out from both the winery area as well as a hike along the coast. Loved the property, Polly was very helpful and communicative, and we had a great time!

10 anniversary celebration with friends.

Beautiful property! The log house is beautifully decorated, fully stocked kitchen, yard games, board games and media room. Only thing I was not a 5 stars for us was how far the pond is from house. Had to hike too far to get to it.

Perfect place to celebrate 50th anniversary with family!
Great times! Enjoyed fishing in the pond (wife and granddaughter caught their first fish), played euchre till midnight on the deck. Also had fire pit to make s’mores, watched movies and made popcorn in the movie room! Many places nearby to hike and see waterfalls! An amazing house to create unforgettable memories. The kids and adults LOVED the theater. The kitchen was big enough to have late night conversations over cookies and milk. Peaceful Beautiful Setting
Our family reunion was completely fulfilling here! The craftsmanship of the home is amazing, the decor pleasant and space was just perfect. We loved the various lawns and spaces for outside play. The deck and porch areas were also great places to gather. We loved the double fridge, double ovens, and large pantry to put a huge amount of food. We had found everything we needed in the kitchen including pie crust guards! Polly was a very helpful hostess too! We would love staying here again!

Amazing, beautiful and super clean house!
We were a big group and had a great time in this house. Clean and equipped with all you need. We had a chance to baked some cinnamon rolls and cook all our meals. Our kids loved the theater room. Space for everyone! Private space away from the noise, but close enough to go to town to buy groceries. (15min away) Great management! 100% recommended !!!

Very clean and easy. We had all that we needed and the house was clean.
The only disappointment was that we were not able to use the outdoor grill to barbecue because there was a mouse and her babies in the barbecue grill.

I’m so sorry about the mouse, Ruby! If you would have called we would have come out right away and removed them. The Lodge is in the country and we have critters from time to time. We did find the mice after you left and disposed of them.

Everything was just as the pictures showed!! The property was amazing and the arrangements worked well for our extended family to stay. We really appreciated all the kitchen amenities that allowed us to fans family meals at the lodge. The hot tub was fabulous and we had a fun family movie night! Great place with amazing views
This is a beautiful property with every amenity you can ask for. The lodge had the best kitchen with every convenience you could need to prepare large meals to feed your guests. This place has enough beds to accommodate all 16 people that went with us. Every morning we woke up to deer feeding in the back yard. Really loved this place. Can't say enough good things about it. The host always responds right away.
