I was approached by a beggar on my way into the lobby, which makes me feel unsafe leaving my car where I can't see it. The desk clerks were remarkably slow. It made sense for the one who was changing a complicated reservation by phone, but I don't know why it took so long to check in the man ahead of me. Most puzzling is that two employees came to the pool area, where I was eating supper, took down one umbrella but not the other two, and left without a word. They might have let me know that a storm was on it's way. When I tried to leave the gate was latched from the outside and I had to ask another guest for help. Meanwhile, all three umbrellas were being blown around and I was drenched, as was the gentleman who got the gate open.
