It’s an older motel so you get what you paid for. Having said that the bed was awesome. You could park right in front of your unit and the bathroom in mine was remodeled. The woman I checked in with was cute and super friendly

We are unpretentious budget travelers so we chose the best bargain in Madras and weren't disappointed. The room was clean, the appliances in decent shape, and the owner (or manager) very kind. I wouldn't mind staying at Juniper Motel again.

The 2 day stay was good and I look forward to doing it again. Staying there allowed me to do some things harder elsewhere.

Vintage property. Our room was newly updated with new furniture, nice TV, and new sink and shower, and toilet. The A/C worked well. The manager was fantastic, friendly, and ready to serve. We would definitely stay here again. Room was spotless. Don't judge a book by its cover when looking at the Juniper Motel.

Amazed at the Overall Positive Rating
I chose this place largely due to the positive ratings. My room smelled like ammonia, had a huge (8-inch) hole in the carpet, and multiple large stains on carpet. I didn't even think about turning down the bed and brought my sleeping bag and pillow in from the car. The room is about 20 feet from a state highway with loud traffic all night long. Coffee cans outside each room filled with cigarette butts complete the ambiance. Buyer beware.

Comfy bed, cold AC, great water pressure (careful of the hot water it gets really hot). Could use a better paint scheme inside and decor to take the echoing out of the room. Other than that great place!

Pros: -The front desk staff was very friendly and attentive when we checked in. -The room was quite clean. -The bed was really comfortable! -The AC works well. -There was a fridge in the room. Cons: -The non-smoking room smelled like it had been a smoking room for 40 years and recently had a change of heart. -The room’s condition was poor. Holes in the carpet, black smut (Soot? Mold?) on the picture frames. There was a suspiciously fist-shaped hole in the bathroom door. The biggest thing I would say is that I would not have felt safe staying here alone as a woman. There were some men hanging around drinking and smoking outside of their rooms for a long time. At night, one of them came and knocked on our door to tell us he was “going downtown”. This was uncomfortable and made us a little worried about our safety. Overall, a fine place to stay if you just need a place to crash before a hike. Not a suitable location for women travelling alone.

Older, but more than ok.
An older one-story place right along the HI way. Our room was along the side, so we didn't have any traffic noise issues. If you're just passing through and want a place to sleep, it fits the bill.

The person at the front desk was very polite and the room was very very clean. The place is a bit run down and the door locks feel like they could be replaced but with the bolt, I felt safe. If i am in the region again I would 100% stay here for the value and location
