Palace exceptionnel
Séjour très agréable, le personnel est au petit soin, surclassement dans une suite exceptionnelle. Le caractère historique du palace fait la différence. Un palace calme, spacieux, jardins agréables pour profiter et un personnel exceptionnel, nous sommes très content et nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir.

Fantastique séjour, nous avons apprécié, l’accueil et le personnel sont au petits soins, Merci à Sarah et l’équipe du front desk pour leur écoute, l’équipe de la piscine et restaurant piscine, Mamdouh, El Tayeb et Ashraf sont très sympa souriant et ont êtes formidable avec nous. Staying at this palace is like staying at home. When we first arrived, the welcoming is beyond good. They wanted us to feel very good from the beginning. They helped us as much as they can and always asking us if we need anything. The building is magnificent with a lot of history and the decoration that makes you travel in time with all the comfort of today. The location is great, on the Nile and near the temples. If you are on the Nile view, it's great, otherwise you will be on the garden and pool and it's great too. The crew on the pool, the restaurant, the bar and in general are very helpful and professional. The only thing that should be better is the wifi, unfortunately, you have to reconnect every few minutes and the connexion can't be reached from all the corners. But other than that, I will surely come back and I totally recommend.

Hôtel historique avec jardins somptueux
Hôtel légendaire et historique à Luxor, décoration et cadres d'origine, ce qui vient avec ses inconvénients dans les chambres. Piscine et jardins magnifiques, à proximité d'un minaret. Environnement globalement bruyant, chambre très bruyante. Certaines chambres fumeurs communiquant avec les chambres non-fumeurs ne sont pas isolées. Le personnel est très courtois et disponible. La nourriture est correcte. L'emplacement est agréable pour se rendre sur les différents sites de visite ou restaurants.

Si vous n’y allez pas, vous raterez qq chose ..
Cet hôtel est vraiment incroyable et certainement l’un des plus beaux que j’ai jamais vu Son jardin est magnifique et très verdoyant Les chambres et les parties sont assez rustiques et mériteraient un coup de frais Mais qu’importe l’ambiance générale est superbe, on y resterait des mois ! Le personnel est adorable et ne sait que faire pour nous satisfaire. Ils nous ont par contre laisser nos 4 valises dans les immenses escaliers de l’entrée ce que était vraiment moyen pour un 5* Il n’en reste vraiment que du positif

Great hotel, well located walking distance from Luxor Temple and main street of Luxor. The gardens and pool area and very nice and welcomed on a hot Luxor day! We booked a Nile view superior room and I recommend paying a little more for this as you will enjoy amazing sunsets on your private balcony overlooking the Valley of the Kings. Service was also very good. Breakfast was also nice with your usual egyptian/europeen/western options. We had 2 meals at the hotel: the bbq grill outdoor diner was very good, as for the Cartouche restaurant (mediterranean cuisine) wasn’t worth it. All in all, would definitely recommend!

Out of four top hotels we’ve stayed at in Egypt, this was by far the worst experience of our whole trip. The room was small and despite our stay of four nights no upgrade was proposed — something that every other hotel we stayed at during our trip proposed. The room we had was very small and cramped. The bathroom has not been updated in decades and is definitely not worthy of a 5 star establishment. The common areas of the hotel are very beautiful as are the gardens, however everything could use a refresh. The worst part of the stay was the horrible service and food. The gourmet formal restaurant was by far the worst meal in Egypt-our main courses were inedible, red wine was served hot as if it had set outside, and waitstaff was slow and had to be asked several times. Staff in general whether room service or at the restaurants were non-responsive and very slow-we often had to repeat orders. Several times we requested more water which was never delivered to our room. At the outside bar, staff ignores everyone to the point you have to go up to the bar to beg for service. In the inside bar, the bartender did not know how to mix common cocktails and had to be reminded every night. Management and reception staff didn’t seem to care either when we finally complained at our frustration. Sadly, the Winter Palace seems to live only on the grandeur of its former days and is definitely not worth the price of the rooms nor does it merit its five star status.

le fantôme d'un palace
Arrivée tardive avec Egyptair et chambre ne correspondant en rien aux prestations payées ! Chambre minuscule, avec vue sur Mosquée et travaux au lieu de vue sur le Nil, pas de balcon, juste une fenêtre ! Demande changement immédiat ! 2 h du matin...et atterrissage dans une chambre single au rdc avec vue sur le passage entre les cuisines et l'escalier ! une serviette, un peignoir et lit d'1m20 ! pas d'eau potable et une assiette vide avec une serviette, on se demande bien pour quoi faire ! Le lendemain nouveau changement, pour une chambre sur le côté de l'hôtel, donc vue sur le Nil uniquement de l'extérieur sur le balcon ! salle de bain dite moderne...des années 70 (vintage ! ), filet d'eau chaude au lieu de froide car les tuyaux sont sur la façade sud, chauffés à blanc par le soleil. Chambre toujours réduite, environ 20m2 et un lit d'1m40. Moquette sale, rideaux poussiéreux qui se bloquent en permanence, peignoir élimé !, mobilier vieillot ! Bref un souvenir de grand hôtel. Les repas tout à fait quelconques, et la piscine surpeuplée. Les ascenseurs....pas de double porte vous frôlez le mur aussi écaillé que l'extérieur du bâtiment. En revanche le personnel fait ce qu'il peut pour arranger le coup, souriant, aimable, bref très gentils. Le bus proposé pour l'aéroport coûte $100, et en cherchant 30 secondes on en trouve un pour 15 euros. Voilà, une grosse déception pour cet Hôtel qui se voudrait un fleuron de l'accueil Français en Egypte !

It is indeed a concern that you feel the room offered was not up to the expectations; we of course took this very seriously and rectify any unusual shortfalls that may have occurred during your stay. Let me seize this opportunity to clarify this situation, in fact your reservation was for a classic Nile view room and according to the high occupancy during that period, your booking was upgraded to a superior side view room which you did not like as you stated, however the receptionist tried to solve this issue and offered you another room which you accepted to spend one night in view of changing it the day after, which was the fact that you have changed your room with a second upgrade to a Luxury room and you were pleased with, regarding the airport transfer, you were offered this service and you thankfully accepted to have it which is comparable to similar properties in the area and we feel we provide good value given our central location and extensive facilities. C et hôtel est indéniablement un "must" pour ceux qui veulent revivre la fin du XIXème siècle et les débuts du XXème! Ne manquent que les jolies femmes du temps jadis descendant les majestueux escaliers ou l'odeur du cigare de Winston Churchill parfumant les vastes couloirs... Evidemment, tout a un prix!

Magnifique hôtel face au Nil.
Nous avons passé les 15 premiers jours de septembre au Winter Palace. C'est la 2ème fois que nous y séjournons, nous adorons ce splendide hôtel chargé d'histoire et notre séjour fut aussi réussi que la fois précédente. Nous apprécions particulièrement la qualité du service et la gentillesse du personnel, les jardins et la piscine qui sont des lieux enchanteurs, l'excellente cuisine. C'est un endroit vraiment magique INCONTOURNABLE lors d'un séjour à Louxor.

リバービューのお部屋はナイル川の美しい景色を満喫出来、ルクソール神殿にも近く、その周辺には飲食店もあり、立地は素晴らしいです。 チェックアウトが朝早かったのでブレックファーストボックスをお願いしたら快く用意してくださいました。 お庭やプールも綺麗で館内のインテリアも素敵です。 バスルームだけシャワーを使用すると洗面やトイレ部分の床がビチャビチャになります。2泊して2回目は工夫してみましたがやはりビチャビチャになり、水はけも悪く朝になっても乾いていませんでした。 それ以外は満足しています。

Sumptuous elegance and calm against the back drop of a chaotic city My mum and I spent a week here for her 80th b’day present. This is an oasis of calm compared to the chaos and hassle of Luxor. From the fact our room was upgraded by the lovely reception staff to have more space for the week we were there, to the soft and unbelievably comfy bed linen to the absolutely amazing staff who helped us, this is a wonderful Hotel. I can’t name them all as I’d be here all day, but stand outs were Ashraf, Khaled and Rashidy. And then the lovely receptionist, the brilliant door man who helped change my dollars on last day, to the lovely female cleaner. Mum had the best time and we ended up eating there every day as we liked the service so much.

This is a phenomenal property with the elegance of an Italian villa. It was five star stay for sure. It was more of an experience to eat out and use local taxis rather than stay in.

A historic hotel in a prime location with wonderful staff and lots of charm. The staff takes great pride in their jobs and work really hard to accommodate your every need and request. Rooms are nice and offer very comfortable beds. The bar/lounge by the lobby was excellent. Great staff, service and live piano during happy hour. The grounds are spacious and beautiful. The pool is large, but requires significantly more chlorine as it has algae throughout the grout, walls and filters. The food was ok. Absolutly nothing to reflect or rival a 5 star hotel. The breakfast was ok. The food at the pool was subpar. Dinner was ok. The stores connected to the hotel are a circus. Nobels Art Gallery and Nobels Jewelers are all owned by the same family and are a complete rip off. I purchased an 18k cartouche from Shady. I picked up my cartouche and went back to the hotel and realized the letters on my name were FAKE GOLD. I took it back to the store and informed him I knew it wasn’t real gold. He admitted it and refunded me. So disturbing. I made the hotel aware given the stores products are displayed throughout the hotel endorsing the stores. Overall, the hotel was ok. It is a historic hotel but absolutly not a five star hotel.

This was one of my best experiences at a hotel. The Victorian ambience is charming. The service is absolutely phenomenal - the staff really take care of you and are super-friendly. The rosemary chicken at the restaurant was the best I have ever had.
