Bnb familial et cadre reposant
Un petit bed and breakfast familial où l'on peut passer un séjour calme et reposant. Très bien situé, on est à deux pas du centre-ville, ce qui permet de visiter facilement cette jolie ville. Bonne expérience !

Excellent pour séjourner à Lucca !
Nous avons fait une escapade sans les enfants en Toscane. Nous avons fait une pause à Lucca avant d'aller à Florence. Ce Bed&Breakfast se trouve dans le même bâtiment qu'un musée. Le personnel est adorable. Les chambres sont grandes et confortables. L'hôtel est situé au coeur du quartier historique; le réceptionniste vous donne une autorisation de traverser le quartier avec votre voiture (sans cela, vous écoperez d'une amende). Des parkings gratuits sont en grand nombre à l’extérieur de la ville (5 minutes à pied). Nous avons été conquis jusqu'au petit déjeuner très copieux. Nous reviendrons là, c'est sûr.

Hôtel très bien placé dans Lucca. Au coeur de la ville et de ses animations. La personne qui gère l'hôtel (ou plutôt les chambres d'hôtes) est très prévenante. Le buffet du petit déj est super alléchant lorsque l'on prend du sucré le matin. Par contre si on mange salé, c'est un peu réduit.

Excellente situation, chambre petite
Hotel centrale bénéficiant d'une situation idéale. Excellent accueil, avec un personnel qui parle anglais et francais. Aucun reproche sur le service. Notre chambre était petite, environ 12m², mais bien agencée et très confortable. L'hotel dispose d'un parking, mais il est utile de le réserver à l'avance! Sinon, un parking gratuit est à 10 minutes à pied.

Bel endroit pour une belle ville
Le relais est bien situé, à 20 min de la gare à pied et près des sites à voir. Il est situé dans un bel édifice. Notre chambre était spacieuse, avec salon et terrasse. Petit-déjeuner copieux. Quant à l'accueil, très agréable: aide pour porter une valise, Francesca la patronne qui répond aux demandes toujours avec le sourire. Bref un séjour idéal.

We loved everything about Relais San Lorenzo. Daniela is a wonderful host and nothing was too much trouble. The building is beautiful and dates from the 17th century, but everything is in top condition and works really well. The location is absolutely perfect. Very highly recommended. This was our first time in Lucca and we loved the city. We hope to return and will definitely stay in Relais San Lorenzo again!

Quaint hotel in the heart of Lucca
My wife and I enjoyed our stay at Relais San Lorenzo. It was a great part of town and was fairly quiet. The room itself was spacious and the bathroom was roomy. I didn't love the shower setup, but the water pressure was great and the water hot and plentiful. Breakfast was good and they had a nice setup. I couldn't see any sort of in-room climate control, so I'm not sure how to make the room warmer or colder. It might be that I just couldn't see the thermostat. Overall I'd recommend the hotel. My only complaint is that the set of keys was a bit burdensome to put in a pocket. Kind of need a purse or backpack, but other than that it's a good hotel for exploring Lucca!

Great hotel. Situated above a museum. Reception only open at certain times so read the information before arriving as parking will be a problem. We parked outside the walls of the town. It was 24hrs for approx 15 euros. The roads are very tight within the walls and very busy. The breakfast was great continental style with the choice of eggs. Hotel is a short walk into town with shops cafes and restaurants. Great location.

Beautiful place to stay
We decided to stay in Lucca as we had read many good things about it and we came across this bed and breakfast by chance. It is located within the walls of Lucca, a delightful place to stay, if a little difficult to get to buy car. Within the walls, Lucca is designed as a one way system. We missed the Relais first time and it took some thought to get back to it given the one way system. Nevertheless we did it! The sign outside is quite small and so it is somewhat easy to miss. The Relais is on the second floor of a very old building (built in 1650 allegedly) and so you need to be able to carry your luggage up to the Relais, up two floors. It's not such a big deal but there is no lift. The Relais is a lovely place, very fashionably furnished and very comfortable. A delightful place to stay. The people running it are very helpful. It is also located in easy walking distance of nice restaurants and bars. Thoroughly recommended.

Perfect B&B
The walled city of Lucca is beautiful and so is this b&b. The property is traditionally styled and in an excellent location. You are spoilt for choice at breakfast with home baked goods, free flowing coffee and eggs cooked to order. The hostess Is very friendly and helpful and will go the extra mile to help make your stay at Relais San Lorenzo a very enjoyable experience.

Excelente localização na cidade murada, esse pequeno hotel vale muito a pena. Fomos bem recepcionados pela Daniela, que toma conta de todo hotel e foi extremamente gentil conosco, deixando a experiência ainda melhor. Possui estacionamento dentro da cidade murada, sendo necessário entrar em contato antes para reservar (possui uma taxa extra), e fomos rapidamente atendidos pela ótima Daniela. Com certeza recomendaríamos ficar nesse hotel e se voltássemos a Lucca ficaríamos lá novamente.

The Relais San Lorenzo was the most romantic and relaxing experience we had on our 14 day trip. We would recommend this B&B to anyone wanting to experience Lucca in an authentic and comfortable way. We loved it and will definitely go back!

Lovely small hotel
We stayed overnight at Relais San Lorenzo. The owners were extremely helpful and welcoming. Our room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was wonderful, with a lovely choice including fruit, cereals, savoury pastries and sweet pastries and cakes. We found the Relais ideally situated within the walls of Lucca, within easy walking distance of everything. The owners arranged a garage for our car, who registered the car with the local police and organised our permit to drive within the old town. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Ottima struttura
Bella struttura collocata al primo piano di un palazzo d'epoca, in ottima posizione rispetto al centro e 15 minuti a piedi dai parcheggi liberi al di fuori delle mura. Il personale è molto gentile e disponibile. La camera è tranquilla, arredata in stile antico, spaziosa, con annessa veranda a vetri in cui è ricavato un salottino e con grandissimo balcone (70/80 metri quadrati) con seggiole ed ombrellone. Il bagno è nuovo, spazioso e con finestra. Ottima e abbondante la colazione a buffet. Meriterebbe i pieni voti se non fosse per riscaldamento spento nelle camere ed il clima ancora un po' freddo che ha reso la permanenza un po' meno confortevole.

Fantastic B&B - wish we'd stayed longer
We stayed at the Relais San Lorenzo on the last night of our week in Tuscany - and it was delightful. Very welcoming ... very stylish and fun ... and the staff were most helpful, especially about helping us find parking. Breakfast was lovely and very extensive. Great location - right in the heart of old Lucca. Definitely recommended and we look forward to returning.

Stay at the Relais San Lorenzo
Stayed in Lucca on recommendation from a friend. Much nicer than Pisa or Florence. It was quieter and less overrun by "tourism". The Relais San Lorenzo is a small family run B&B. Michele and Danielle were excellent hosts, nothing was too much trouble. So good we sent our daughter there as well! RSL accomodation was on the second floor of a very old building with Roman ruins in the basement. The room was well appointed, pity the aircon (necessary) was a bit noisy, but otherwise absolutely great.

Wonderfully positioned in historic palazzo
Technically this is a B&B but it is splendidly located on the principal (ie first) floor of a historic palazzo in central Lucca. The family that run it are delightful and speak excellent English. The large sitting room/lounge, where breakfast is served is one of the principal rooms of the palazzo and is well equipped with books about Lucca and associated arts as well as novels in various languages. Relais San Lorenzo is not that easy to find, especially if arriving by car. It is in a car-restricted zone,is only marked with a brass plaque - not very obvious - and it is usually necessary to ring for the door to be opened. The hotel will register your car (so you can bring it into the city). At the time of our visit we were unable to park in the courtyard of the palazzo but arrangements were made for us to use a local garage for a similar cost.

Her bor man midt i smørøyet i gamlebyen. Hotellet har fine rom til en god pris. Det som likevel gjorde oppholdet ekstra bra for oss var servicen vi fikk av vertinnen. Vi hadde et uhell med leiebilen vår, da vi ble påkjørt bakfra av en mopedist. Vi hadde allerede sjekket ut av hotellet, men vår vertinne låste hotelldøren og ble med oss for å ordne opp i dette. Vedkommende som hadde kjørt på oss kunne ikke et eneste ord engelsk, så takket være vår særdeles serviceinnstilte vertinne, fikk vi ordnet opp i situasjonen. Noen ganger opplever man en service ut over hva man kan forvente, og det var absolutt tilfelle her.

Great place to stay in Lucca!
From the time we arrived and received a warm welcome and had our luggage carried up the stairs until we left and got a goodbye hug we felt like special guests. Clean, comfortable, and a wonderful breakfast to begin each morning. We also got great restaurant recommendations that we're only minutes away. We parked our car in the private courtyard and walked the beautiful city both days of our stay. We hope to return to Lucca in the future and we will definitely make this our first choice for lodging.
