I dislike giving bad reviews but the same way i rely on others reviews to help me decide my stays, I want to be of help to others. The outside of the building needed to be pressure washed and cleaned. The carpet in the room was extremely filthy. The whole building needs to be exterminated as we saw a baby roach crawling up the wall in our room as soon as we entered. We had to stay in this motel because of an emergency, my father was in the hospital not to far from this place. We would’ve Never just chose to stay here if it weren’t an emergency. Everyone was very friendly but I’d rather not share a room with bugs and not be able to allow my small children to touch the carpet. Also the photos online must be from years and years ago bc this place looks nothing like this now…at all! It’d be nice and honest of them to post some up to date pictures.

Canceled my reservations. The outside needs pressure washing. The only thing that was GREAT was the staff, there was an excellent professional young man working the front desk on the evening of 9/2/2023

Terrible Hotel and Service
The Quality Inn Hotel in Kingstree, South Carolina is the worst hotel that I have ever stayed in. Once I checked into my room. I noticed that there was no refrigerator in the room. I called the front desk and informed the clerk that there was no refrigerator in the room. He told me to give him a couple minutes and he would bring a refrigerator to the room. 25 minutes had passed by and he didn't come to the room. While I was waiting for him to bring the refrigerator, I wanted to iron a shirt and noticed that there was no iron in the room but the ironing board was there. After waiting for 25 minutes I went to the front desk and there was no one there. I heard someone outside by the pool area and I went out there and it was the desk clerk talking on his cellphone and smoking a cigarette. I asked him what happened with him bringing a refrigerator to my room. He said he forgot. I informed him that there was no iron in the room. He then got up from where he was sitting and said he's going to get the refrigerator and iron to the room now. I walked back inside with him and he took a refrigerator and iron from another room and brought them to my room. His service to a guest was very poor. In addition, there were mice traps in the hallway along the side of the walls. Overall the room was not really clean. Stains were on the desk and counter.The shower could have been cleaned better so I didn't use it. I will never stay there again and I wouldn't reccomend anyone to stay there☹

In the bathroom of the first room offered to us, the vent was hanging from the ceiling, management not accommodating and rude. The second room had roaches.

MISSING RESERVATION!!!
AGAIN they could find our reservation Even though we paid in advance and had the confirmation and itinerary number. We had to pay again just to get in the room late at night.

I asked for a non-smoking room the room that I was in smell like cigarette smoke the shower curtain was torn and not in good condition when it took a shower it wet the floor up because the curtain was because I couldn't need it to be replaced

The hotel is rundown. The ice machine didn't work. There's old stained smelly dirty carpet as the floor covering which really needs to be replaced. The lounge seating area was dirty with leftovers laying all over the tables at 3pm.The actual room was 3.5/5. It has fridge, microwave,good water pressure & comfortable bedding. With a little TLC this could be a very nice hotel.

The room was very comfortable and clean. The staff was nice and efficient. The breakfast was disappointing: The waffle-maker worked. However many condiments were missing (i.e. butter, salt, pepper). There were no fruit or bread options. The juice machine was either empty or broken. The dining area was not kept clean. Outside of the breakfast area, everything else was fine.

The rooms appeared to be renovated. The appearance was modern and appealing. Although, the venting system needs some work. There were some issues that housekeeping was happy to take care of. All the staff was friendly.

When I arrived at the front desk.there was a strong odor of marijuana. I rang the bell for service and young man came out and began the check-in..He then informed that he only had 1 room even though I had 2 rooms listed under my confirmation number..He was able to accommodate me with a second room. The beds are extremely uncomfortable and the pillows looked like someone had taken the stuffing out them and placed them on those very hard beds..There was stains all in the carpet,couldn’t walk in my room with socks or shoes on..The carpet needs a deep cleaning. The doors needs to be painted and hangers added..This is the only hotel in this town within 16miles..The pool does not work.When checking out ,I rang the bell 4 times before one of the house keepers came and took my check out request information..Just as I got back to my car a young man approached and said he worked at the front desk..I said I spoke to the housekeeper and he returned back to talking on his phone.. I pray that someone gets a hold of this place and do a major overhaul..It has the potential and is much needed in the area..People will start driving 16-30 miles to find decent hotels..

Hotel was under construction and dirty. Walls in bathroom we falling apart. Not very clean. All three lamps in the room did not turn in when going in because the plugs would not stay in the wall outlets.

Stay was ok. Beds where comfortable. Cleanliness was not so ok. Found a few roach’s in the room. Did notice that one cleaning lady was using some powerful cleaning agents that I would have preferred used in my room. Staff was very pleasant. Oh advertised that continental breakfast was available and had coffee. Be aware of area this hotel is in. Lots of unusual traffic.

This hotel was horrible!!! Roaches, no shower curtains, missing wall sockets, rooms smelled old and stale like it was mildewed, lap shade broken, dirty comforter, non working phone. However despite the hotel being horrible, the staff was amazing and very helpful as much as they could, but they should close down until they are renovated!!!

They didn’t have a reservation and I had to get a handicapped room to small. They were booked for the weekend. I drove 12hrs thank god they had the one room left.
