I have stayed at this property multiple times while visiting family in the area, the last time before our recent visit being 5 years ago. At that time you could access the lobby, there were some lobby amenities (like coffee in the mornings) and rooms felt surprisingly more than I expected from a motel in a small town. Covid caused changes lots of places, and I am guessing that is when the lobby closed and never reopened. Check in/contacting staff is done at all hours by ringing a bell and talking at the night check in window. It might not seem like a big thing, but having the lobby space made the experience of staying here better. The property is also in need of a refresh, or even just new sheet sets. The couch in our room had visible stains on the cushions that made me not want to touch/sit there. The sheets on both beds were clean, but were worn out, had pilling, and thin from overuse. One sheet set had holes in it and the quilt on that same bed had visible stains and residue on it. The family who owns the motel has always been very nice. I let them know about the bed that had the stained quilt and the sheets with holes and they replaced them while we were out. They do a nice job of making the beds so that the room looks very nice. I think I got used to having a motel option in the area that felt more like a hotel because of the attention to detail, lobby, and the nicer level of sheets/bedding. Now I’m sad to have that change.

The so-called “owner” was very rude and not welcoming at all. For a hotel to be out in the middle of nowhere, you’d think he would want the business.

Although there was limited dining, in 30 min you can find some good options in Center, TX. The staff was very nice and the place was quiet, great for a relaxed sleep. If we have the chance to stop in this area we will go back to Executive Inn & Suites Joaquin.

Hotel was clean and neat, Check in for 4 people and had only 2 towels, coffee maker for only one cup and no breakfast! Please, do NOT advertise breakfast and not to serve it for last 3 years! Covid is over!

The rooms were clean, sufficient and convenient to where we were meeting, but the spot advertised a free hot breakfast. But when we went to eat we were told that they no longer served breakfast. The only thing that was then available was Whataburger.

The room is beautiful, the beds very comfortable, and had we not had loud neighbors, it would've been fine. But the walls are so thin you can hear conversations, snoring, doors slamming, etc. It's just very hard to sleep with all the noises you can hear. We even had a fan app turned up and were wearing earplugs. When they built the building, they didn't insulate well between rooms apparently.

I usually have a pleasant stay at this location. However this stay was not a good one. The bed linen wasn’t that clean they need new linen and the bed was horrible. The mattress was sunken in they need to replace them. I had a room with double beds and it was like that on both beds. The guest in the room next to us was extremely loud and fighting slamming the door this went on for over thirty minutes.

No breakfast at all, not even a go bag, for $96 that was not good, door had to be slammed to close. Night latch was broken. Not a whole lot of options for breakfast in this small town. We were here for a wedding.

The property is well kept, however they need to deep clean and clean well with COVID going around. My room is always nice and clean but I feel like they need to wipe walls doorknobs, and doors and get in the crevices of the floor corners.

We had a great experience at this property. After a long day on the road, the welcoming, efficient staff was much appreciated. The room was clean and very comfortable, and the area is very well-lit at night. Safe and quiet. Definitely recommend and will stay here again!
