Bon rapport qualité prix…
« Petit » prix pour cet hôtel très bien placé et très compétitif… L’hôtel est un peu ancien mais son emplacement est magique… ne pas hésiter à prendre la vue océan un plus chère mais superbe avec le petit balcon. Manquerait juste une petite remise à niveau pour qu’il devienne un hôtel fantastique.

Bien pour une dernière étape
Dernière etape sur Big Island. Hotel bien situé par rapport à l aéroport. Il y a des ordinateurs à disposition pour faire les enregistrements. Check in simple. Nous avions réservé 1 chambre pour 3 adultes. Les lits sont petits pour des doubles. Ils ne peuvent pas accueillir 2 adultes. Nous avions pourtant payé le supplément pour la 3ème personne. Hotel complet. Nous avons demandé 1 lit d'appoint ( ce n est pas le personnel qui nous l'a proposé ) Il a fallut que l on paye aussi cette prestation pour pouvoir dormir dans cet hotel.

Séjour correct
Hôtel un peu vieillot. Les chambres sont confortables et propres mais mériteraient une rénovation. Belle salle de sport. Les mesures Covid pour le ménage sont tjs en place, si bien que le ménage n’est pas fait ts les jours et que c’est au client de mettre ses déchets et serviettes sur le palier.

Disappointing
The hotel is old and outdated. The rooms are huge but the wallpaper is falling all around. The carpet, fabric and mattress are old. The balcony was great but we had the noise of the air conditioning or something industrial just under so we couldn’t enjoy it. The bath was stained and all metallic parts in the bathroom were rusted. This room doesn’t worth more than 80$ per night and it’s generous. The lobby was renovated thought and the employees were very welcoming.

The property was directly on the water with nice views of Hilo Bay and Coconut Island. The rooms were fairly spacious with an outdoor balcony. I had reserved 2 ocean-front rooms and requested a King bed in each, but we had 2 Queens in each. The property was clean enough but the furnishings, carpets, etc. were somewhat tired. The provided continental breakfast offerings were pretty weak.

We were met with fierce opposition from local P.E.T.A. members. The hotel staff was helpful and friendly, but the restaurant staff were not very nice and food service was very poor. The breakfast was a joke where there was no food most of the time. The service at the restaurant took over an hour.

This hotel is in a great location overlooking Hilo Bay and sits adjacent to the beautiful Liliuokalani Gardens which is a must visit. Rooms are situated such that half are overlooking the bay and the other half overlook the golf course landside. The main restaurant has decent fare. The staff and service are excellent but the hotel could use some updating as rooms are showing their wear and tear. Lighting in the separate bathroom/shower area is dim and everything could use a good coat of fresh paint. Nights are quiet and peaceful especially if you have a room with a balcony overlooking the bay. There is a great restaurant within walking distance, Hilo Bay Cafe, that I highly recommend but that’s for another post. If you want to wander into town, it is an easy 5-10 minute drive to shopping and restaurants. Parking can be an issue if the hotel is hosting an event but according to the staff, street parking is allowed. Warning their guests that this might be an issue during nights with events would have been helpful so that guests don’t spend minutes circling through their parking to find a tight spot. Overall, I would recommend staying here for the great staff and location. Even as close as it is to the airport, the minimal air traffic did not detract at all from the stay.

The only minor thing is one free breakfast box per room per day no matter how many people are staying in the room. Otherwise the grounds are beautiful and the attached restaurant has great staff with great food. Service is fast & food is delivered fast. The location is great for doing things on that side of the island. I would definitely stay there again.

The room was very spacious and comfortable. We had a good view of Banyan Drive. The lobby area is very clean and welcoming. The only thing I didn't like too much was the continental breakfast. All the food offered is sweet (pastries, fruit, oatmeal), and I feel that something salty would make it perfect (hams, eggs, sausage, etc)
