A terrific place to stay
Super clean and nicely decorated. Everything you need in the way of supplies, coffee, tea, etc. Nice outside fireplace and grill. The stars at night are wonderful! Took a wagon ride, which was a highlight of the visit! Charming and comfortable place to get away from it all!!

Adorably charming!
The photos of this property really doesn't do it justice. Was so pleased to find it even better in person! We enjoyed the outdoor fireplace and made pizzas in the stone oven. A bit of a learning curve there, but was very fun to do. We took a horse drawn wagon ride around the area and had a great time!

A Lovely Vacation Stay and Film Shoot Location!
What a wonderful stay! Mrs. Emerald Welch keeps it sparkling clean (even washing the comforters after each guest) and the decorations are beautiful, fun, and interesting. We kept looking around and seeing something new! The cabin is rustic and comfortable. I just wish we'd had time to try out the pizza oven. :) (We didn't realize until we looked at it that it was a pizza-oven/hearth/grill combination. Bring burgers.) The location is private with little traffic, and the view of the pastureland and horses/mules/donkeys was pretty from the yard and loft. Very, very happy customers. :) Mrs. Welch and her father-in-law, Mr. Welch, gave us permission on some things, working with us to make the cabin an excellent film shoot location for the film we are creating (ThisGeneration.net), and we are planning on using the beautiful horse and buggy for a further clip. They are warm friendly people. Thanks to them for a lovely stay and a successful shoot!

Charming and peaceful getaway cabin
Great place to relax and unwind. A little bit of a drive to get to but it’s worth it. Only thing I’d change would be to put in a walk-in shower. The claw foot tub is charming but not practical and somewhat inconvenient especially for older folks.

Very peaceful!
I grew up just north a bit in Missouri. We lived 15 mikes out of a town of 1050 people at that time. I could have stayed anywhere closer to ammenaties or anything else for that matter. When I found this place and mapped it, the first thing that hit my mind was "HOME"! It reminded me of being back in the area and younger years in my life.

Nice little get away
The cabin was clean and a little way out of town. Not too far, but far enough it felt private. There was a cool little bridge in the cabin on the second floor. The owners were responsive and really nice

Clean, quiet property. House is very quaint. Beds were very comfortable and we had plenty of blankets, pillows, towels, etc. It was so hot we did not get to enjoy the outdoor fireplace.

Peaceful Country Cabin
The perfect cabin for our weekend trip to Arkansas. The kids loved playing checkers on the porch. The beds were comfy, the claw foot tub was used multiple times for relaxing baths, and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. We enjoyed our coffee on the porch, watched the moon (and lightening storm) through the upstairs window and listened to the cicada symphony at night. We had a visit from Willow the dog who was very sweet. We wished we’d booked an extra night so we could have enjoyed a campfire. We’ll be back again.

Beautiful Location/ Great Hosts
The cabin was impressive, especially when we found out it was built by the Welchs. They were friendly and very responsive to our needs. We had a large group, there for 6 nights, so there was a need for storage for our clothes and some items we brought with us. But we are a flexible crew and the whole atmosphere totally outweighed any issues. If you stay definitely take the cart ride with Gerald and give Willow a head rub for us. Shes one if the sweetest dog I've met.

Quiet and Simple
We were looking for a simple getaway to celebrate our 31st anniversary. The host family was the best! The cabin was very rustic and all the basic amenities were provided + a very nice outdoor entertaining area with a wood burning pizza oven, grill and fire pit. Bring your charcoal and pizza supplies! A very polite mature dog will visit if invited to come closer. A very nice, quiet cabin with enough hospitality to let you know you are well cared for!

We loved ❤️ this cabin! It was so peaceful and quiet. We loved the carriage ride as well. We rented the cabin to get a much needed get a away and de-stress. The outdoor fire place & grill were awesome. We brought food to grill out and cook. We would like to make a recommendation maybe have tv trays for the living room to eat on. Making Memories

We absolutely adored this cabin get-away!!! There was nothing about it that wasn't perfect for our group. There were 6 of us women who get together every year close to Thanksgiving to celebrate our friendship. The cabin was cozy without being over-crowded. Everyone had plenty of room to socialize, cook, eat and sleep. The outdoor fireplace was a cozy outdoor gathering spot throughout the chilly weekend as well. We had an early November snow- which is very unusual for this area but, it totally added to the country cabin charm of the weekend. It felt like we were staying in a Christmas Card worthy setting!!! The Cherry on top was the horse and wagon ride!! This was at the top of our list for one of our favorite Girls-trip staying places! And I guarantee we will go back!

Perfect Getaway!

Nice, relaxing place to stay
We had a beautiful cabin and a nice spacious yard, and the property owner was so nice and prompt to answer any questions we had. We loved the outdoor pizza oven and grill, and we had so much fun playing the outdoor games that were provided. They also took us on a horse and buggy ride that was quite enjoyable. I’d definitely recommend staying here!

PERFECT getaway!
The pictures do not do this place justice! A wonderful, very clean, cabin on the outskirts of town. It made the perfect get away for us and our pups! The pizza oven + outdoor fireplace were a highlight. 10/10 recommend, we will be back!

Great place but not handicapped friendly.
Very clean and great Amenities. We loved the location, very private. Loved the wrap around porch. There was only 2 of us, so there was plenty of room. Cute Cabin. grandkids would have really enjoyed it out here. Maybe next time. the only downfall was No rails to hold onto in shower or getting up from toilet. Probably meant for younger tenants. We are 59 and 69 with a few surgeries under our belt. lol All in all we loved it. Thanks Lazy Mole farm

Yes, we have a ramp onto the front porch, but since we are trying to stay as true as possible to the homestead cabin style (and still be comfortable), it would be hard to have the inside completely handicapped accessible. I hope it didn’t inconvenience you too much. Come back again with the grandkids!

Very quaint
Absolutely loved the cabin and the quiet of the country. Not too farm from town. No Wi-Fi and cell service was spotty so we was able to actually be in the moment and not our phones!

GREAT PLACE!
We had a fantastic time! Loved the pizza oven and our attempt at making a pizza. I brought my gong and played in the moonlight, we paddled 14 miles on Spring River, went to town, and had a great time watching some old movies. Loved that we "unplugged" and had no cell service or internet. People should do that more often and reflect on the important things in life. Can not WAIT to stay again!!!!!!

Just gets better every time!
Had another great stay at the Lazy Mule Farm! Really enjoyed the new couches and this time my son stayed in the loft and was very happy with the bed and the air up there. I’m also very humbled Gerald built a ramp to use with my wheelchair that I use when I travel before we came for the 4th. They saw me using it when we visited for the first time in April, and decided I needed a ramp-such a sweet gesture! (I do not use it inside) We own property in the area and know a lot of people, so we are never at the farm when we stay, but we can tell you that if you’re interested in a good quality off grid family get away-this is it!! Even my older teenage kids enjoyed it!
