Thank you for your valuable feedback.
We are very sorry to read that there were certain reasons that caused some level of disappointment during your stay with us.
Kindly note the hotel holds a valid license for a 5* hotel which has been obtained very recently. The sign of the hotel has indeed not been updated to indicate the correct star rating but this will be done in the near future. Should you wish you can contact us at any time to provide you with a copy of the license showing the official rating of the hotel.
Porto Angeli is a family resort hotel and July & August are the peak family holiday months. We can only apologize for any dissatisfaction felt in regards to this issue albeit do not feel that there was something we have done wrong.
We are also sorry to read that you felt that the restoration of the hotel is mediocre; we do respect all personal opinions however mind you, that the vast majority of the guests praise the renovation, facilities & services of the hotel as further substantiated on the various review websites.
As advertised and as it is the case with most hotels in Rhodes, the all inclusive program is based on nationally produced drinks whilst branded drinks are available on additional charge. Resorts that serve branded drinks within their All Inclusive program advertise the latter as Ultra all inclusive and can only apologize again for any dissatisfaction felt to this regard.
Having said that, kindly note that we do not appear to have similar complaints to suggest that there is an actual issue with the cocktails served and feel sadden to know that your experience is not similar to the one expressed by the majority of the guests.
Once again thank you for taking the time to bring your feedback to our attention; we very much hope that you had some level of enjoyment out of your stay with us.

We are delighted to read your comments in regards to our staff and the hotel's cuisine; this is very much appreciated by all of us working for Porto Angeli.
Regarding the WiFi issue you may have experienced during certain parts of the day, we would like to assure you that those are unfortunately down to the Internet Service Provider and NOT down to the hotel's network.
We have raised the issue with the provider and have been advised that they have been experiencing power shortages in the antenna transmitting the signal. The high speed internet provided in Stegna gets transmitted wirelessly from Tsampika as there is no fiber optics infrastructure in this part of the island to service high speed dedicated lines.
Please also note this type of dedicated line costs over 1500 EURO per month and supposedly has a 99.9% uptime guaranteed by a SLA (service level agreement), which the provider has failed to meet.
We are aware of the issue and do our utmost in pressing the provider to resolve this. We would also like to add that this is an isolated event out of our reach and shall be fixed shortly.
The hotel has invested significantly in its network infrastructure and did not experience any issues in the past in the wifi service provided.
We are terribly sorry for any inconvenience experienced and very much hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in our resort in the not so distant future.

Dear Valued Guest, Thank you for taking the time to bring your feedback to our attention; we are very sorry to read of the unfortunate incident occurred and wish your husband a fast recovery. Without wishing to be unsympathetic, we would like to share our side of the story. Your reservation in our hotel was from the 6th of July for 4 nights. On the morning of the 8th of July, you had called reception to ask for additional bottle of waters to be delivered in your room alongside with the floating breakfast basket and had informed us that your husband was feeling unwell. At the time our receptionist, Alexia, asked you if you wish us to call a doctor which was declined. We are not sure as to why you claim this to be completely false – this is a standard operations procedure and it is also recorded in our incidents book. We explained to you at the time that the hotel does not have any similar incidents to suggest that there was a problem with the food, water or drinks served. Indeed, should there was an issue there would have been multiple guests affected including yourself. Bear in mind that Porto Angeli applies the latest standards in food preparation and hygiene as per our ISO 22000:2008 certification (HACCP) and takes samples from food, water & drinks on regular intervals (amongst so many other procedures). We dismiss the comment of food poisoning, or at least food poisoning that occurred in our hotel, on the basis that we have no other similar cases to further substantiate this claim. In addition, none can really verify what your husband has eaten, where and when. As for the comment of bananas being offered on the last day, please note that patients suffering from diarrhea are in need of water, electrolytes & minerals (potassium, sodium, magnesium etc) which can be found in bananas, apples etc. Five hours following your check out we received an email from hotels.com mentioning that the hotel offered a doctor but no one came and that you were seeking compensation as you had spent some money on the doctor. Is this information false as well? We are genuinely sorry that you were indeed not able to enjoy your stay with us but we feel that we are getting accused of something that we are not at fault. Your husband was the sole case of more than 700 in-house guests with diarrhea symptoms and this statistically tells a lot. Once again thank you for choosing our resort for your honeymoon in Rhodes; we are very sorry that circumstances did not allow you to have a fantastic time as so many guests of ours and would like to wish you a swift recovery from this unfortunate event.
