Nice hotel closed to the beach and very nice staff
We spent two nights at this hotel which is very well maintained and the staff was absolutely adorable. It is a perfect location for family as there is a nice pool where the children can play. As for my boyfriend and I we spent times on the beach nearby which is very nice and only 10-15 minutes on foot. We recommand!

Avithos resort looks as good as the photos. Chose this resort because of the kitchenette so that I could make food in the apartment and it didn’t disappoint. The kitchen has everything you need, except they don’t provide washing up liquid and sponge. It was lovely sitting out on the balcony for dinner or a drink. The local tavernas do takeaway food if you don’t feel like cooking but want to eat at the apartment. The swimming pool area is lovely and relaxing, no fight for sunbeds and plenty of sunny spots. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is fairly rural and there is no centre to walk around in the evenings - just pitch black lanes, but there are restaurants nearby so plenty of places to eat. The nearby beach at Ai Helis is beautiful and only a 15 minute walk. Would recommend a car if staying for more than a couple of days.

This is the second time I have been to Avithos resort. It is a quiet, spotless and friendly space in beautiful gardens. The pool is wonderful, surrounded by plenty of sun loungers . There is a small children’s pool too Breakfast was delicious, with many Greek options to choose from. Really sets you up for the day. The food at the bar is nice too, for a snack or convenient meal. However, there are beautiful local tavernas nearby. We especially enjoyed Espirides, and the lower restaurant at the beach Svoronata is a quiet somewhat isolated area, but transport is not a problem if you have not hired a car. There is a regular bus service to Argostoli , Avithos runs an efficient and regular transport service to the beach and in the local area Taxis can be booked easily, as can local tours of the island and boat trips Our room was spacious, well appointed, and clean. I was disappointed that tea and coffee are not provided daily only on arrival. Even the most beautiful setting can be spoilt if staff are inattentive or unprofessional This is certainly not to be said for Avithos. The staff made the stay even more special. I would especially like to mention the young people behind the bar, and in reception. They were all helpful , friendly, happy , and very professional. I would certainly go back to Avithos resort again. A special place on a the very special island of Cephalonia

The design of the hotel is nice, rooms are spacious and well designed. The service is not so great. Staff were rude, specially front desk, they never say hello Or goodbye whenever you walk by it, they didn't try to Help , they didn't give us any hint/recommendations about the island. They are just there and useless. The pool food menu is also very week, they should have fingers food; tzaziki, veggies, mezze…even tacos instead of burgers and pasta… overall the hotel is good because.. other than the staff inexperience in Hospitality, rooms and facilities are great

Ontbijt was goed en netjes verzorgd, kamer wordt ook netjes opgeruimd, personeel was vriendelijk, zwembad met ligbedden was goed, gratis parkeren ook goed. Minpunten zijn: WiFi werkte niet/nauwelijks, airconditioning werkte ook niet optimaal (zeker met de hittegolf was het moeilijk om uit te houden), toiletpapier kun je niet in toilet gooien maar dat geldt bijna voor alle hotels (vind het toch minder fris). Al met al was het een relatief duur verblijf.

A great stay n the Avithos Resort
The Avithos Resort is perfect for a relaxing break. I cannot fault anything- the staff are helpful and friendly; the accommodation is modern and clean and the pool and grounds are wonderfully kept. There is a supermarket approx. 10 min walk away, Esperides restaurant close by and the beach and 2 tavernas around a 15-20 min walk away. We will be back again for sure!

Perfect family friendly hotel in Kefalonia
Avithos Resort is a excellent option for people wanting to stay close to town and other great areas without being right in the thick of it all. We stayed for 5 days and would happily stay there again. We had a renovated room which was lovely and I would assume they will be renovating the rest of the rooms in the winter months. I think we would have been disappointed if we had got a non renovated room as the improvements they have made are worth it. Lots of families were staying here which didn’t bother us but it does mean your sharing the pool with a lot of children. Highly recommend you have a hire car for the entire stay unless you plan on not leaving the hotel much, then there is the option of taking the bus. Overall a great hotel to stay at. Housekeeping was okay but missed refilling supplies on a few days but this is minor and can be fixed.

We had a lovely stay at avithos resort. Very clean, tidy and lovely gardens. Staff were all very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is very quiet with no entertainment, but perfect for relaxing. There are a few bars/restaurants within 15 minutes walk but a car is ideal to explore local beaches etc

We missed one night due to a cancelled flight so they upgraded our room for our second night. Lady at the reception was quite lovely.

Appartamento spazioso e luminoso con giardino. Al suo interno ogni necessario per la vacanza. La struttura presentava una piscina per adulti ed una per bambini ed un bar aperto tutto il giorno. Personale sempre disponibile e coazione buona ed abbondante. La spiaggia più vicina dista 500 m. Consiglio per un soggiorno in pieno relax.

We had a last minute booking with Avithos Resort and they were ready for us when we showed up. The room had all new furnishings and the bathroom in particular was great with rock on the floors, wall, and in the shower. The kitchenette was perfect for cooking light meals and breakfast. The large bed and fold out bed were perfect for our family of four.

A quiet, comfortable, clean and pretty resort. Staff are incredibly friendly and knowledgable about where to visit in Kefalonia, what restaurants to go to etc. The beaches down the road are worth a visit and within walking distance.

A comfortable and relaxing stay at a near-perfect apartments hotel. The staff are exceptional in their friendliness and desire to do everything to make your stay enjoyable. The rooms, the pool, the breakfasts and the pool bar are lovely and there are two beautiful beaches and several good restaurants within easy walking distance. For exploring further to see the most spectacular parts of the island a car is essential, but if you just want to relax it’s easy to manage without, as the hotel is only a few miles from the airport.

Avithos resort is a very comfortable place to stay. I stayed here for 3 nights on my first visit to Kefalonia. It is amazing and the location was suitable. The staff were very helpful and always at hand to support us. I cannot really forget the amazing breakfast - omelette and Greek coffee etc were very good. I want to also mention Kyriakos at the reception and all the other ladies. They were awesome and helped us enjoy our stay.

Wonderful Hotel
Wonderful hotel with very helpful and friendly staff, nothing was too much effort. It is what it says on the tin, a lovely quiet location close to a couple of nice sandy beaches and local Taverna's. Swimming Pool and pool facilities also excellent. Rooms clean, tidy, spacious and well equipped.

Close to three beaches. Good amenities, could cook in your room if you wanted to. Lovely pool, if a little cold some days. Elizabeth at the pool food/bar really helpful and saved me sometimes as didn't find much veggie food in the tavernas.

Peace and tranquility.
Before we went to stay at Avithos we read all the reviews and were worried we might be the only ones to not appreciate the hotel.... we needn't have worried ! It is what everyone says. The hotel is immaculately clean, the staff couldn't be more friendly and the hotel has a calm about it we hadn't experienced anywhere before. If you want a quiet and relaxing holiday on a wonderful island, this is the choice.

Another fab stay at the Avithos Resort!
Our second stay and it was even better than we remembered. Very peaceful holiday, all immaculately and lovingly maintained with super staff. Everyone so friendly and keen to please. A model resort which sets a fine example in the hospitality business. We'll be returning!
