Convenient

Publié le 16 juin 2014
Les + : It seemed quiet, clean; price was good.
Les - : I would have liked a receipt from the hotel- they said I had to use my Expedia receipt.
Situation : I has business with the school, so did not really pay attention.
I needed a place to stay in Grayling and Ramada was available. It suited my needs. There was a restaurant/bar with karaoke if I'd wanted to stay up, but I didn't. I also skipped the free breakfast as I had a breakfast meeting.

"Where's the bed?

Publié le 10 juin 2014
Les + : The recreation area was nice.
Les - : If your going to act like a low rate hotel lower you room rates to reflect your facility.
Situation : Jelly Stone Campground.
I ordered a room with 2 double beds and was confirmed as such. Upon arriving I was told the room had only one double. No reason given or alternate room was offered. When I entered the room you could see where the other bed was but was removed? Little things like pictures missing on wall and a sink that should have been replaced was noticeable also. The free hot breakfast was ok but not kept clean and organized. The arcade room had numerous out of order machines and regularly took you $ without working.

"and Conference Center" means something

Overall, not a bad hotel for the price; clean and reasonably quiet. The ambience, however, is somewhat "industrial" -- long hallways surrounding a vast interior space. Breakfast is perfectly adequate if nothing special...but served in a cavernous room. Not sure why I'm complaining as the price was right and the room itself was fine...just the ambience.

Very Old

Publié le 6 mai 2014
Les + : Very Little
Les - : Everything needs updating
This hotel is very old and needs work. I thought Ramada would meet a top notch hotel. Not really. There is nothing horrible, but the overall experience was just...I cant wait to be out of here.

Our Stay at the Ramada in Grayling MI

Publié le 14 avr. 2014
Les + : Price was good for us. We just wanted to use it as a midway stop. Free wi fi was good.
Les - : no towels (visible) in the pool area
Situation : we were just passing through on our way to Traverse City.
We arrived about 8:30 pm. We had no problem checking in. Saw that the pool would close at 10pm so we went down. Wife said pool was a little chilly. I just went to the hot tub. There was a middle age couple (sorta making out) kissing, hugging. Sorta creepy, I think that is why no one else was using the hot tub. Wife and I sat there for about 10 minutes and went back to room. There were no towels (visible) to use in the pool area. Slept okay.....went to breakfast (included). I enjoyed it. We left the motel about 9am Looked like an older style facility......but I would stay there again.

Great place for kids.

This is a great hotel if you have kids. There is a pool, playground, arcade, ping-pong table and shuffleboard available where the parents can watch from a poolside room or table and chairs through out the inside dome. Located right on the snowmobile trail which we really liked. There is also a restaraunt on site. You can tell it is an older hotel that has been remodeled but you get a good value for the price. Everything was clean.

Surly Staff. Awful Breakfast

Publié le 4 mars 2014
A staff employee at the hotel was a bit surly both times I interacted with her. She didn't explain how the chit for the free breakfast worked and we needed a replacement. What you are supposed to do is keep the chit for your entire stay and the wait staff will sign off on the back of it. We did not know this, and we left ours at our table. We we realised our mistake, we went back to the checkin counter and she acted as if we were trying to "steal" the breakfast but ended up giving us a replacement. I'm not sure why she was emotionally involved in the breakfast chit issuing process, but she was. The first day, we stood around for several minutes waiting on plates until we walked into the kitchen area and asked if we could get some. Both days we went to breakfast, the main line of the breakfast consisted of cold eggs, hard biscuits, and some gravy. They did have some box cereal and apples, and I would stick to that and skip the prepared items. We skipped one day because it was so gross. The wait staff also was surly in asking for our chit, again giving us the notion that we were trying to steal the breakfast. I'm not sure how often that happens, but given the quality, I find it hard to imagine that someone would steal the breakfast we were offered.
