We loved being able to stay so close to the DeVos center and Alex, who checked us in, was magnificent! Our room was incredibly huge and beautiful and well appointed, not to mention comfortable. We definitely will be staying there again when we head to GR for concerts! It was wonderful! I might add the original wooden floors are still there and in the rooms, the wooden floors creak which has a beautiful sound to them!!!!

Parking is expensive in this area. Hotel has original hardwood floors that, while charming, are pretty creaky.

Saw a concert around the block from the hotel. Was able to park at hotel and walk everywhere. Stayed 3 nights. Lots to do in downtown Grand Rapids.

Everything was perfect but the parking ramp was kinda weird. Said I could check out with card but it didn’t work. Oh well. Otherwise a beautiful building and extremely nice rooms. I would stay again.

Waited 45 minutes after check-in time to access pre-reserved room. Told it was because of maintenance issues. Obviously wasn't repairing the air conditioner because it didn't work. Very hot room with no windows. Felt like a 70s dystopian sci-fi movie. Parking is not included in room fee. Scan card provided for parking did not work. The gentleman did his best to resolve the issue. Room was clean and comfortable. Do not waist your time with the free breakfast. Terrible. Just terrible. The kind woman working the station was the only highlight. Many quality breakfast choices in the area. Stay 10 minutes outside of town. Rooms are much cheaper. You're going to pay for parking if you stay downtown or not. Nothing worth walking to anyway except overpriced bars. Museums close at 5 on Saturday.

The beds were not comfortable. Very cheap with the toilet trees. Our room only had two towels for a guest of 4 and very little toilet tree products. The room wasn’t cleaned very well. The floor was dirty and room was dusty. The breakfast was very good and cold. Nothing that was supposed to be hot was hot. That was the worst coffee I ever had at a hotel. Went to the fitness room two days in a row and the water tank had zero water. There were also homeless people right outside the parking garage sleeping. Parking in downtown is very expensive. Expect to pay every where you park.

Loved this hotel! Very clean and convenient location to Devos Place. Breakfast was delicious with a large variety of hot and cold items. One of the ladies serving breakfast had an extreme attitude towards the guests, mumbling mean things under her breath. That turned an otherwise pleasant experience with the hotel sour, unfortunately.

This hotel was lovely. Very clean and updated. The staff was amazing, and the location is walking distance to everything you need downtown. Loved my stay! Will keep this place in mind the next time I need to stay in Downtown Grand Rapids

Unfortunately we didn’t get the experience we were hoping for with this highly rated property. Our check in process was very rocky and we could tell checking in that the staff member was very frustrated. Once getting checked in we entered our room to find another guest occupying the room and in the process of getting dressed. When we went back down to the front desk the staff member said “was there someone else in your room?”, making it obviously that he was concerned to begin with that this could be the case and it was very confusing for us. We were provided a simple apology with the blame being put on “first shift” and given a new room. We were able to speak to the manger the following morning who was very kind a provided us some compensation for the poor experience. This situation aside, we were very unimpressed with our room cleanliness. The floors in the kitchen were sticky, the carpet was dirty, there was something spilled on the floor throughout the bathroom and the pillows were stained. I’m not sure if it was standard for a two night stay or not, but we also never received any room service. The hotel was beautiful, but sadly we will be looking for other accommodations for our next stay.

Way less than I expected for a Hilton at this price. The room was advertised city view....which if you think one window looking into a brick Wall in a parking deck it the city.... technically it was. There was no window that saw outside. Also, the place was not clean. There were dishes left in the dishwasher and hair all over. My child actually picked up a hair comb/pick and was carrying it around. We rented a suite for 5 and it came with two wash cloths. Clearly we could have asked for something different,.but when you are traveling with 2 year olds you are just happy to get to your room. Lots of choices in Grand Rapids. I will not choose this one again.

We enjoyed our stay at Homewood Suites. Overall it was a great experience, the room was fairly clean until you looked a little closer. In the morning we realized there was quite a bit of dust and crumbs between the bed and bedside table. Also would have loved some hotter water! But those are small details in the grand scheme of our fabulous stay.

This was the best hotel stay I have ever been at. The breakfast in the am had the best selections and the food was delicious. Everything about it was wonderful especially the manager of the downstairs store Websters convenience store. Thank you Hilton for being so professional.

Although the Hotel was located in an older downtown building, the facility had been updated and was in excellrnt shape. Breakfast was great. Located close to many good restaurants and Devos Performance Hall. We'd definitely come back!

This was by far the worst stay I have had anywhere in a long time. We had stayed here once before and it wasn’t this bad. The bed was like sleeping on a cement block, the pillows were absolutely awful. And to make things even more uncomfortable, the temperature in the room could not be regulated. We arrived in the room with it set at 74. We turned the aC on and dropped it to 69, along with turning on the fan. It did not help one bit. Progressively the room got warmer and warmer through the night, reaching 78 degrees by the time we got up in the morning. I’ve never woke up more miserable in a hotel in my life. Never again.

The stay overall was good but the customer service was terrible. Older hotel than I thought but big rooms which I liked. Not sure if I’d go to that particular Homewood suits.

We have stayed at the Homewood Suite Downtown Grand Rapids twice in the last couple of months. This property is walkable to shopping, theater, dining, bars and event centers. The suites are very nice and spacious. They also have a nice breakfast in the morning. We will stay here again!

The rooms were very large with a full kitchenette. The loft style was very visually appealing and the bed and bathroom was amazing! This hotel is also walking distance to all the best downtown restaurants and venues. Parking was slightly confusing for me, but I was unfamiliar with the area.

Very pleased with our stay. We came to town for a concert at Van Andel and were able to walk there & back with ease. Staff were very pleasant and knowledgeable. The gorgeous hardwood floors were pretty squeaky but it didn’t bother us any. Parking was kinda pricy but that’s to be expected in the city. I wish we would have stayed longer and took advantage of the salt water pool!
