Perfect stay at Grand Lake !! The grand lake lodge is an amazing place from another time, with an impressive historic decoration, but still providing all the modern comfort. We absolutely loved it and this was by far one of the best experience of our 20 days honeymoon road trip around Utah & Colorado. The view on the lake from the restaurant and the lobby is magnificent. The fireplace gives the place a perfect mountain vibe. We felt so connected to nature from our cabin, yet it was just minutes away from the national park entrance and the main attraction in town. The team went above and beyond to make us feel special for our special trip, and offered us bubbles & chocolate strawberries. This place will forever hold a special place in our heart.

Bien situé
Hôtel bien situé à 2min de l’entrée du parc national des montagnes rocheuses. L’hôtel est isolé mais offre une vue incroyable. Il s’agit de petits cabanons, avec place de parking pour chaque cabane. Points négatifs: menage non inclus, pas de poubelle dans la chambre, il fesait froid la nuit et le chauffage était bruyant, l’eau de la douche mettait 3min à chauffer. Attention les restaurants en ville ferment à 21h et arrêtent de servir vers 20h30...mais l’hôtel possède un restaurant. Aussi vait-il mieux verifier que la route pour le parc national est ouverte. Pour nous elle etait fermée au bout de 10miles à cause de la neige

I think the potential for this lodge was good but our experience was otherwise. Upon checking into our room we met a few of the other guests who mentioned they received little goodie baskets with a welcome note and snacks, etc… but we had not gotten one in our room. We also found hair all over the shower, a used coffee mug and the bed looked a little disheveled which lead us to think the room wasn’t properly prepared for us. We were also upset that the area around the building were extremely dark, in comparison to the first building that had little lights hanging to light the alley between each building ours was completely dark because the light weren’t working. We actually had to use our phone flashlights and being one of the room lamps outside so our kid could play around 5pm. The main issue was We tried to contact the staff but no one was answering/responding. We met another guest trying to check in but their code wasn’t working, they were also trying to contact the staff with no response as well. They eventually just left to find other accommodation for the night. Extremely upset that what was supposed to be a lovely holiday trip for us was extremely disappointing.

The main lodge and location were beautiful and we truly enjoyed out time and glad we stayed. However the need to keep up with maintenance on their cabins for safety. The cabin we stayed in while understanding it is historical, it had some serious foundation issues, where the bathroom floor had dropped a few inches making the bathroom door not be able to close, and looking at the the supports it way undersized for the renovated tile bathroom.

View was perfect! Loved the fire pit and hot tub. Easy access to RMNP. Room is nothing fancy, but who is in the room during the day when you have the mountains. Coffee pot or Keurig in the rooms would be a bonus.

Amazing Lodge with spectacular views
The Grand Lake Lodge has a special place in our hearts as we return after 19 years. The improvements made to the property are spectacular just adding to the beauty of the surrounding area, and without losing the charm of the original lodge and cabins. The cabins are still cozy and completely modernized and main lodge lobby and restaurant is gorgeous.

My daughter, sister and I stayed at the lodge at the end of September, and loved it. We have been coming to Grand Lake for almost 40 years, but had a cabin there. Lovely lodge
Cabin cute although small. But that’s ok. Restaurant nice and had a great meal of Buffalo ribs. But wine selection was limited as they are winding down their season. Lodge beautiful snd views amazing. Would stay here again.

The Lodge bar and restaurant were outstanding! Cabins were a little outdated, but perfect for our needs. We had an excellent meal and great service at the restaurant. We really enjoyed our stay in Grand Lake Lodge.

A Wonderful Mountain getaway!
This historic lodge overlooking beautiful Grand Lake does not disappoint. The cabins have been updated, while still retaining their rustic charm. If you’re looking for a modern vibe with all the amenities, this isn’t it. However, the friendly staff, great restaurant, and unparalleled views more than make up for too few wall outlets.

Paying $800 for a tiny unsafe barely livable space with broken window that let the rain in and a door that is unhinged tilting sideway. This an way way way overpriced with no linen service no housekeeping is a shame to the hotel industry. Are stay was absolutely shameful from the dining staff and a restaurant manager that dies not understand service. He has Ben there 20 years and does not help the staff but stand around in time where he is low on staff. The area where we try to eat has no service staff to help order. The restaurant required the guests to go to the bar to order and the bar was swamp with patrons . The bartender took my order after 20 minutes standing there . It felt like we were bothering them. The worse is when you pay $120 you expect a minimum service , well nothing no hello no asking is we needed something no they don’t care On the first day I finally placed my order and when the food arrived I asked the waitress for fork and knifes and my surprise the waitress told me that she could not give me the ustensils because she was busy. So I had to go around to find some. On the second day for diner the host told us to order at the bar and this time after 29 minutes of standing there the bartender told me that he will not take my order and I needed to go back to my seating area and someone will take my order. So I did and a Minute later the waitress said, no, she will not serve me and thing went to hell with arguments. after that we were told to leave.

It is an old property with very small rooms. No air conditioning so it was hot inside during the day. It cooled off at night. The walls are thin so you will hear neighbors. Very close to Rocky mountain national park. Has incredible views of lake.
