La piscine est vraiment bien, surtout avec des enfants. Les chambres sont confortables, assez spacieuses, surtout la salle de bain. Par contre, l'hotel n'est pas super bien entretenu, beaucoup de lit de soleil autour de la piscine sont cassés notamment... Le buffet convient pour un soir, mais vite repetitif et d'une qualité vraiment moyenne pour le prix. Le petit déjeuner est copieux. Au final pas mal, mais vraiment pas a la hauteur d'un 5 étoiles, meme pour le sri lanka

Not a 5 star hotel - rooms and bathrooms are in desperate need of renovation. Sliding door on the shower was rusted and won’t slide so had to leave it open or you’d be stuck inside! Pool area is decent but not exceptional. Beaches are much nicer elsewhere on the south coast - softer sand, clearer waters. The only plus point was a decent breakfast selection.

Check out process was horrible. Would not allow check out until they went to room and confirmed mini bar. Made me feel like they thought I was a lying thief. I was not lying. I gave them accurate info. Why not take my word and allow check out? Really? Why doubt your guest when you are only talking about $8 worth of drinks? Seems crazy to treat your guest like you don’t trust them and they are dishonest

Despite booking one of the most expensive rooms in the hotel I was given the run around for an hour. Check in was at 2 yet it was 3pm before they gave me the keys. Also, I had asked in advance for an extra bed in my suite but there was not one.

Suite was excellent but too much noise
My experience was very mixed. I got upgraded to a sea view suite which was excellent. Super comfortable bed and great bath and balcony and living room. Just like in photos. Ordinary rooms are less than one would expect from a Radisson, and not like in the photos. My main issue was the constant loud techno music at the central poolside from 11am to 9pm, even when the pool-side bar was closed. It was not music suitable for a summer pool-side, but more for a night-club. Could hear from inside ordinary pool-side rooms also. Other hotels I stayed in along this coast has pool-side music but it was pleasant. Breakfast was good and nice to sit by pool. Loved sitting out by the beach at night and the natural pool area in the sea by the hotel was fab for splashing around, but not advised for weak swimmers, in off-season. Nothing to do outside the hotel in walking distance, and quite depressing roadway outside. Duty manager was excellent and addressed some concerns I had very professionally. I recommend Hotels.com loyalty scheme for assisting in upgrades!

Worn down
When we checked in the room was smelling strong of perfume. We went out for 3-4 hours, and when we came back and the perfume smell had gone, there was a distinct smell of mould. We were offered a new room, but it was just the same. We wanted a full refund, but had to pay for one night. We left anyway and checked in to another hotel. The hallway and room was very worn down, not like on the pictures at all. But other than that and the smell of mould, the room seemed clean. There was some really helpful and kind staffmembers, but the manager was rude.

Magnficent views of the Ocean!
Beautiful Hotel! We had a one bedroom suite and it was magnificent. We had a huge wraparound patio with panoramic views of the ocean all around, that is almost felt like we were in the middle of the Ocean. The rooms were decorated beautifully with Ocean colors.Our room boy Lasith was the best. His careful attention to detail made our stay special. Food was good and service all around was superb!

Don’t let Amari ruin your holiday, stay elsewhere
For the price of a 5-star hotel: Beach is not swimmable, barely walkable with the shape corse sand. The fake palm tree in the water makes a real eyesore. Room was small and dark with cheap, stained furniture and patchy painted-over walls & ceiling. Buffets looked and tasted like hospital food, and ala carte items made me miss McDonalds like never before. Worst part was front desk service - Miss Desha Lak was a real piece of work - no eye contact, slammed check in form on counter with her palm, threw a pen on top, and so much despise in her tone that made us feel really unwelcome. She also refused to help with currency exchange - “check the rates yourself over there” were her exact words. Our stay at this godforsaken hotel really ruined our wonderful time in Sri Lanka. Please don’t make the same mistake we did.

Difficult to believe the hotel is only 3 yrs old, the build quality is terrible. The general cleanliness was not up to standard. We had two of the more expensive rooms, one of the rooms 3501 had leaks inside whenever it rained. Similar to Chinese torture, with a constant dripping sound. With these rooms came large terraces, unfortunately when it rained impossible to use, due to poor design and build quality the water still came under the covered area. We booked through ebookers hoping for a quality hotel, which has been the case up and till now. The staff were very friendly and helpful, but the rooms and general cleanliness were not up to standard. I have photos of patch work (paper taped on to cover certain areas, cardboard in the door lock, etc...)

The room was good, clean, and it had a great view. Food was good. Great pool and access to the beach. Minor detailing in the room bathroom (dangerous swinging and sliding doors). Electricity shut down a few times during our visit, entailing that the elevators didn’t work and we had to walk down from our seventh floor room.

SL gem of a hotel
Amari Galle is a well designed gem of a hotel near Galle. It had a superb breakfast and warm swimming pool and wasnt to busy during our stay. Lots to do around the vast gardens and expansive levels.

I would definitely recommend Amari Galle.
I would definitely stay at Amari Galle again. It was the perfect hotel for the beginning of our trip in Sri Lanka. We were given a beautiful room, a surprise for our honeymoon and the service was excellent.

I went to Amari with my husband for our anniversary we had great time there the staff were really nice and professional this place is like a piece of heaven! Special thanks to the assistant manager Darshy and dashank they took a good care of us will recommend this wonderful place for all , and of course will go again and again

We stayed here for 1 night and had stepped out for the night. They informed us the kitchen is 24/7, when we returned back around 4:30am and ordered for food the order was accepted, and informed us the waiting time is 45 mins. We had agreed to this and waited until 6:00am but the food never arrived. Following day when we checked out we were shocked to see the food bill attached to our final checkout bill and we had to clarify it to them that the food never came the previous night. The on duty manager was kind enough to understand this situation and waived it off from the bill. Over all this property is amazing with the view and the service they provide except that one instance. It’s worth the price and a great spot in Galle to relax. Highly recommend
