Nous avons été déçu par le niveau de propreté et par le bruit de la musique du restaurant pub de l'établissement, très très audible même passé 1h du matin (absence d'insonorisation). Le prix était bien trop eleve pour ce niveau de qualité

Would not recommend
The hôtel is clean but a bit outdated, stairs are steep and very narrow so not easy to "navigate" with a heavy suitcase . Room was clean, well equipped (except small TV with only a few channels) and generally comfortable but it was located at the back of the hotel over a courtyard with some kind of generator running so constant whirring noise in the background even with all windows closed. Not easy to fall asleep wit the noise. Location was good for me as I wanted to be near the airport

Stayed a few nights. A little away from the main downtown but that was ok with us as it was a quiet street. Had a problem with noise the last night but the hotel gave a full refund and helped in anyway they could. It is very clean and a nice hotel. The bar and restaurant had great food and service

We had a very nice stay although when we arrived we were told our reservation had been canceled because we had used our AMEX card to book it. This had never been communicated to us by Expedia and according to my app the reservation was still booked. The hotel was very kind although they had given away our rooms they did accomodate our party in a few single bed rooms and we had no complaints.

Complete disappointment. Tiny room. Bare basics with no effort for any interior appeal. Small window at roof level facing mechanical equipment. Felt like we were put in closet. Worst and most expensive of the nine hotels we stayed at during our trip.

Charming look but not a comfortable stay
Lovely-looking small hotel in a residential neighborhood—far from sights and the center of Dublin and not walkable, but close to the airport. My double bed was hard as a rock as were the pillows. Almost worse was the one tiny high window that barely opened and the lack of any fans so on a hot night the room was rather airless and very warm. It was quite an uncomfortable night. There is also a lot of noise from the bar downstairs. That said, the staff was helpful and very nice.

The hotel is quaint and comfortable. It is like going to an old victorian home. We ate dinner there. It was good and the breakfast is good. They did have a loud band on the Saturday night we were there and we could hear it in our rooms until almost 1am. No elevator.

Our room was extremely small. It was basically a hallways with two twin beds in it. Also, it was not accessible at all for handicapped. My dad had a bad injury during the trip and had to walk up stairs and carry luggage up to get to our rooms. The stairs were unsafe as well since they were very tiny/ narrow steps and he almost fell walking down them. Also, there was a ton of noise and music at night so it was hard to sleep. Also our sheets were dirty upon arrival.

Nice Boutique Hotel and the Staff was friendly and accommodative. You have to take a taxi to downtown from this hotel, We were able to get an early check in after our Red Eye so that was huge.;. Close to the Botanical Gardens which was a nice feature.

Ikke anbefalelsesværdigt
Vi ankom til et værelse, der godt kunne havde været bedre rengjort. Sæbebeholderne på badeværelset virkede ikke og håndklæde-stangen var ved at falde ned. Meget lydt på værelset og en af aftenerne blev der holdt stor fødselsdagsfest på hotellet til langt ud på natten. I en sådan grad at man ikke kunne sove. Pris og kvalitet hænger slet ikke sammen!

The property was largely fine, aside from bizarrely early closing times for the bar and food (like 8:30), what was really the kicker was the live music till half midnight on saturday, followed by another room of guests having an after party till gone 6AM, which was just utterly unreasonable, i believe the hotel staff made one attempt to address it, with no success.

Visiting from Canada
I booked my visit for my sisters stay from Canada and found the process to be extremely easy to do online . Upon my arrival in Ireland I then called and confirmed that a late arrival would not lose my booking and they were so helpful . They stay was very comfortable and clean with a delicious breakfast . I would highly recommend this place to family and friends . Excellent customer service , food and prices .

The rooms are quite small not a lot of space in the bathroom either. We stayed in room 24 and the when we switched the dryer on it was smoking a lot but no notice on the dryer to stop out of order.

This place was not clean. It was freezing, no heating in the bathroom. It is damp and it smells. Breakfast not a good value for money. Scrambled eggs heated In the microwave.

It is a lovely old building and the staff were nice. However, there is no elevator, narrow halls. It was more than challenging to hall up luggage. I don’t think you could pass someone else with luggage. We were promised a family room with a double bed and two twins. Instead we were given a very small room with 4 twin beds with nearly no room between to get to them, and nearly no room at all as floor space for luggage. We had to pay upon arrival and when we saw the room and realized that it would not work for us we could not get any of our 189.00 euro payment. If it were for a short get away maybe.

Charming Place with Character
The Maples House is a wonderful old-style hotel that gives one a sense of traditional Dublin. The staff are warm and friendly, the full Irish breakfast is wonderful, and the bar is a great place to relax. Current management is on top of their game and are attentively improving every aspect of the hotel. If you need a sterile, antiseptic hotel experience, Maples House is not for you, but if you want to stay in a charming place with character, then is the place!
