« We just loved our stay at Saltwater Chronicles. Beautiful, newly decorated lodge with a brilliant view of the sea. We loved walking along the rocks, exploring the caves, walking up through the stunning green glen to the impressive waterfalls. The two lochs are so pretty. Every member of the team we encountered on the estate was friendly and welcoming. The meals we ordered from the kitchen were delicious. Communications were quick and helpful. We can’t wait to return. »

« This is a fantastic property. Very spacious, clean and comfortable. Although close to the main road (and easy access to local amenities, walks and beautiful beaches), it is quiet and peaceful. The kitchen is very well stocked and we enjoyed having the pool/ping pong table in the lounge. Would love to return for another stay. »

« Great spot for exploring Galloway. Hot tub overlooking the forest, and walks starting straight from the cabin. Wildlife all around. Note that it is attached to another cabin & a farm, so it's not isolated - but we did feel like we had privacy. Otherwise a washing machine could be a good addition. Dave & Becky were very helpful, we'd definitely come back! »

« Excellent place to spend time out in the open away from the city. The place had a lovely stream running at the back which was relaxing. The place was clean and had lots of garden space which was great for the kids. »

« Myself and my wife booked this cottage as I was competing in a mountain bike event nearby. The cottage was perfect for our needs with large modern bright rooms and ample space. The garden looked very well kept with patio doors leading onto it. The parking itself was ideal with a courtyard immediately outside, just make sure you have checked the exact location first as the last 100m or so are on a narrow gravel road which isn't the obvious way if you haven't checked it out first.I would...

« House is very well designed and furnished to a very high standard and us only a 10 minute walk from the village and 5 minute walk to the golf course. The views from the decking area are beautiful. We were met by our host Kate who could not have been more helpful. Lots of beautiful walks with breath taking scenery. »

« This was a great break in a gorgeous property. Everything was as described, including the facilities and location / proximity to the beach. I had no concerns about the dogs in the garden with the high and fully secure fence and all rooms were spacious to accommodate us. This was our third stay in Southerness and most certainly the best property we have stayed in. We will be back. »

"Hôtel charmant et calme avec un personnel très sympathique... Un petit plus pour les 2 personnes qui gèrent l'accueil...
