This entire place needs to be torn down &remodeled
There were roaches. I didn't even want to take my shoes off. Once we entered, there was an odor that was so overwhelming in the room. There were holes in the walls and stains everywhere. There was no smoke detector so just random hole in the ceiling that looks so sketchy. I only stayed there because I was desperate and it was the most affordable. No wifi AGAIN, my apologies "they have wifi, its just not stable". Then you don't have wifi & need to remove this from your amenities. They womt allow me to upload these pictures, not sure why.

Someones dirty sock left behind the bathroom door. The exhaust fan in the bathroom extremely loud, cover left off on the toilet. We were left with 1/4 roll of toilet paper, 2 full size towels were left for 4 people thay stayed, no wash cloths, the pillows need to be replaced as they are very flat.

Booked this property based on having stayed at another OYO in New Mexico which was average to a bit above average. Due to airline delays we did not arrive in Shreveport, LA. until nearly midnight. We were able to get a rental car as some very courteous folks at Hertz who stayed beyond closing time to help us out. Arrived at OYO in DeRidder approx 2:20 a.m. Rang the bell for the night clerk. While waiting I looked around and surveyed the entrance. There appeared to be mold around the window for night arrivals as well as mold up along the outside walls and on the ceiling of the drive thru. Got to the room and did not like what we were greeted with. Dirty counters, poorly made beds, insufficient towels and wash cloths, and worst of all a very dirty bathtub. Too tired to deal with it at that time in the morning. Later in the morning we requested sufficient towels then put one in the filthy tub to stand on. Went to discount store and purchased disinfectant spray, wipes and deodorizer (had requested non-smoking) but first thing we smelled when entering the room was smoke. Only 5-10 vehicles in the parking lot so not overly crowded (sarcasm ). We cleaned everything that maids should have cleaned and requested the office not to send maids to our room for the entire 4 day stay. I guarantee the room was much cleaner when we left than when we checked in! Last time to stay at an OYO property for us.

Property is dirty in and outside. There was cleaner in the bathroom that was just thrown in there not even scrubbed or rinsed down. Roaches in the room. Stains on every wall that were disgusting. Base boards were filthy and stained. I didn’t want any of my bags on the floor due to bugs. The sheets were stained and the chair in the room was stained so bad. Toilet paper was terrible one ply. The hotel didn’t have enough clean towels I had to wait for them to wash my own and then return them. Just not good overall

The room didn't look anything like the picture. The walls were filthy, pillows were yellowed and smelled horrible. Smoke detector was missing the cover, tester on it wasn't working and covered in webs. Bathroom fan made a horrible sound and was also covered in webs and dust. shower curtain was moldy. Mold around the baseboards by the bathroom sink. sheets had stains on them. We had to go to Walmart to buy our own pillows and pillow cases. I would never stay there again or recommend anyone stay there.

OYO means O, NO!!!!!
Lady at front desk was friendly, but that's it. I was upgraded to a two double beds non-smoking because she didnt have my non-smoking kingsize bed room that i reserved online. The new Room was gross, not detail cleaned at all for customers, shower pressure not there, shower head didn't work, shower knob broken, tv didn’t turn on or off with remote so inconvenient when your tired, beds were very used and very uncomfortable stiff, not to mention the air conditioner worked but was so noisy it kept waking us up constantly, and what about the room is suppose to accommodate 4 people with 2 beds with one tinys trash can, really? And only two plugs next to the bed to charge phones, laptops, tablets, or anythings else. And also towels were so thin. Needless to say that was my first and last time i will be staying at a OYO Hotel.

We arrived in the room, the beds had burn hoes, the AC didn’t work, the bath towels were stained, and the shower curtain was stained, and there was pee in the toilet. We requested a king non-smoking and got a double non-smoking instead. They didn’t ask us if they wouldn’t want to change at all they just put us in that room there was no coffee pot in the lobby was locked until almost 9 o’clock that morning before we checked out, I don’t recommend this hotel at all especially if you’re really picky. The rooms do not look like the pictures. They are nowhere near as neat and clean.

Horrible experience
It was Christmas night with a nightly rate of $90 and upon walking in the walls were filthy and the top sheets had big melon size stains the beds were hard to look at. There was blue tub cleaner so it looked like running down into the tub from the faucet.

I liked that i did not have to sleep in my vehicle. The room had roaches. The wifi did not work. The ice machine was broken. There was no coffee or tea. And the front desk attendant was in her vehicle smoking when i came to checkin.

I RARELY have negative feedback for anything, but I must admit that this stay was quite disappointing. The room smelled old and dingy, maybe stale cigarette smoke (although the room was supposed to be non-smoking); there were holes in the bed sheets and the sheets had been written on with black sharpie marker. The pillows were very old, dingy and yellow; the icing on the cake though, was the bug crawling across the floor. As I was only in town for one night I was pleased with a $60.00 room versus $100 at others around. However, the old adage “you get what you pay for” is VERY accurate in this case. ONE STAR! Would NOT recommend!!

Our hotel room was horrible. We paid $322 for 3 nights only to have roaches crawling on the walls, floors and on the bed.the bathroom was disgusting…. Dirty floors, filthy tub and poop smeared on the walls. The tv didn’t work, half the lights didn’t come on, didn’t want to give us enough towels for the amount of people in the room and the staff did not want to do anything about it. Unfortunately there were no other rooms available in town due to a softball tournament so we had no choice but to stay.

Around 10pm, an hour after booking, the location called to tell me they "hoped I was not on my way there as they have no rooms available." I said "that would be correct as I booked the last room according to the website." I was then told "we haven't had a room available for 3 hours." There were no other rooms anywhere as a local plant had hired many people now staying in the few area hotels. No assistance in finding a room. Went elsewhere where front desk made some calls to motels which were also booked up. Through chat with Hotels.com reservations dept and follow up call, booked a room at a motel an hour away.

When we checked in we were given a key and told our room number. When we opened the door…someone was still in the room. The bed was unmade, there was an open duffel bag of belongings, the TV was on. Completely unacceptable. We did not stay after that and were not eligible for a refund since we used the hotels.com site to book.

There was nothing unique about this property and was the worst hotel accommodations I have ever booked. The first room assigned to us was not cleaned, food and trash throughout the room. The second room had roaches on the floor and in the drawers at the nightstands. The television did not work and the manager had no idea how to make it work. I am surprised that Expedia would list such a terrible property for their customers. This was late in the evening when we checked in and thank God for lysol and air freshener. I will Go on the website for this hotel and also enter our comments about this terrible place and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone staying in DeRidder Louisiana !

Everything was average, mediocre, nothing super grand, barely passable...refrigerator had roaches in it, not to mention dead one in tub, that had to be dealt with before anyone could comfortably shower. Bed linens had seen better days, burned 🔥 cgarette holes in it...didn’t take the time to complain to front desk, as we were there for less than 20 hours for close family funeral, our grief was too deep to realize how over-priced such shoddy rooms were & customer service was what I said before, MEDIOCRE! I suggest a tent and the campgrounds at Bundick Lakes, if you really want your money's worth, & less smells!

They didn't have Iron, ironing board or phone in room. Ice machine not working, soda machine wasn't producing cold beverages. Poorly washed sheets and towels. I've used this hotel awhile back when it was Country Inn it was much better.

Can you give negative stars?
Worst hotel experience ever. All the details about the hotel were a lie. Hotel description said wifi. Wifi didn’t work. Said free breakfast. Breakfast was non existent. Lights in bathroom did not work. Reported 3 times to front desk, each time was told maintance would come look at it. Never came. Cracks in ceiling and cigarette burns in blankets and sheets. This is a very good spot to go when you have pet dogs!!! They are very welcomed here. We couldn't watch T.V the sheets were dingy. I used My tee shirt to cover the pillowcase. We were evacuated and were very pleased that we could bring our puppies.

Old, dirty (inside and out), roaches in the room, bad front desk service!! If we weren’t desperate because of evacuating from a hurricane, there is no way we would have stayed here.

Bedroom was clean, the bathroom not so much, the shower curtain had looked like it has never been changed or cleaned in forever, the toilet wouldn’t flush with out using a plunger every time, the shower wouldn’t drain when using it, the pool they claim they had was there but not open and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in years, when we got in the room we only had a half of roll of toilet paper, and I think one maybe two towels, which I had to keep going back to the front desk to get more towels, the WiFi they claimed they had wasn’t working and you couldn’t get on it, about the only thing this room had going for it was the ac blew really cold. Definitely not planning on staying there again
