Hotel à Cochrane Alberta

Publié le 19 nov. 2013

Pool and king size bed

Publié le 6 nov. 2014
Les + : The proximity to the Ag society arena.
Les - : Cleanliness. Sheets without a hole. Orange juice on hand.
Situation : Close to the Ag Society.
The mattress was comfortable. The top sheet had a small hole in it. The towels were clean and generous in number. The room carpet was dirty, and in the hallway the carpet was separated where there were joins in the patterns, as well as being dirty. The breakfast was fairly good with various choices, but one morning, there was no orange or cranberry juice; they said it was on order. We booked for four nights and our keys stopped working after two days and had to be reprogrammed. We will not stay there again.

Little choice in Cochrane

Publié le 9 oct. 2014
Les + : Location was good because our business was in Cochrane and we needed a hotel in town. Breakfast was not too bad.
Les - : Bacon in the breakfast every day. Sausages are disgusting. Cleaner towels and ensure the rooms are cleaned before you come back to your room.
Situation : Close to Canmore, without Canmore hotel rates. Mountains close, Calgary close.
We booked the Ramada in Cochrane, Alberta. There are only four hotels in town. We'd stayed at the Days Inn, and it was not bad, but more expensive than the Ramada. There's also a crappy motel which we won't stay at for obvious reasons. That leaves the Super 8, which we figured wouldn't be as nice as the Ramada. We booked through Expedia and the room we got was looking over the town and highway 22X, but we couldn't see that because the room window was 100% obscured by the Ramada's front door overhang and sign. We asked to be moved since we were staying a week and the front desk got us a 'mountain view' room. (in parenthesis only because the mountains are barely visible past the Super 8 across the street. The room was okay, décor is very dated and tired. Sheets were cleaned daily, which was nice. Towels changed on request but more than once had a horrible odour to them. One day we came back to the hotel at 4:30 p.m. only to find out room was in the process of being cleaned. Unacceptable. All in all, not a bad stay but next time we'll stay in the Super 8.

Great place to sleep!

Publié le 6 oct. 2014
Les + : Easy to find, comfortable, helpful staff.
Les - : carpets are getting a little tired.
The room was comfortable and the bathroom more than adequate. I slept well which was the reason for the room.

Great Hotel

The room was excellent. My only complaint is the morning breakfast. Very poor. We left and went to Smitty's.

Dirty

Publié le 24 août 2014
Towels were stained, giant stain on the carpet in front of the bathroom, carpets and comforter felt dirty, and bathroom only had one roll of toilet paper with a little dribble left when we arrived.

Great breakfast!

Publié le 24 août 2014
Les + : Please see above.
Les - : Please see above.
Situation : Good location to restaurants and town.
Our first visit here. Really enjoyed the complimentary breakfast, a wide variety of choices, very family-oriented. Would have liked the pool to be opened until 11:00 pm rather than 10:00. We were very busy hiking, shopping, and dining during the day, and had to rush back to the hot tub before it closed. A vacation should be relaxing and enjoyable, and not have to worry about the time. Otherwise a good hotel, would definitely return.

Hide a bed

Publié le 20 août 2014
Les + : Was clean and the staff were pleasant. Nice to have fruit, cookies and coffee free and available 24 hrs a day.
Les - : Would be nice if they would supply better quality hide-a-beds. I would stay again as long as I didn't need a hide-a-bed.
Situation : Stayed there to take grandkids to Calaway Park. Great location without having to go into Calgary.
The queen beds were very comfortable but the hide-a-bed left a lot to be desired. Might as well just slept on the floor.

Used as we were visiting relatives in Cochrane. Hotel staff were really helpful and we have no complaints at all about the hotel.
