Everything went smoothly. Be aware that after hours checkin is handled by the room being left unlocked and the key inside (not the safest way to handle it, but it's very rural and we just thoroughly checked the room). Room was clean and quiet. No one else seemed to be staying on the property (we were there off season). Only complaints would be that we had only 1 roll of toilet paper in the room, the wifi was not very reliable or easy to connect to, and the head board was pretty wobbly and knocked the wall with the tiniest movement (we put towels behind it so my son could sleep). Clean. affordable place to crash before we headed up the Red Hill Fire tower trail. Thanks!

The Russian Mule Brewery had good food. Decent enough room. Unable to park directly in front of the room, but otherwise, it was fine.

The surrounding area is a sight to behold, it’s got the pleasant sound of running rivers and streams. There’s no shortage of wildlife such as deer and birds. It’s such a calming and serene area.

I am a repeat guest and cannot say enough great things about Blue Hill. The staff are excellent and have been extremely flexible with reservations. I travel from out of state on business and have had to reschedule a few times due to inclement weather and the lodge staff has always been kind and accomodating. I can always count on a safe and clean environment. Thank you!

Property was clean and nicely landscaped. The staff and service at the Russian Mule brewery were awesome ! Polite, professional and alert to the customer. Live music was performed by Shane and the owner bought us a free round of drinks. Love this place and will Be back.

Nice and clean, except saw some hairs in the bed when I uncovered my sheets, but overall definitely the place to stay, definitely would book again!

Very quiet and clean, but no real way to get basics like food except in the evening. Although it is “by” a river there is no access from the property. There are “private property “ signs everywhere.

Had a quiet, lovely stay at this perfectly manicured property. Our room was very clean and cottage-like. The furnishings were country inspired. The bathroom gleemed! There is a restaurant on site but we came in the off season so it was, unfortunately closed. Would love to return during the summer to experience it as the reviews are high. Overall this was one of our best stays at any hotel/motel in years! Kudos to the owners for checking all the right boxes!

The place was very clean. Due to the humidity the room had a musty odor but we were there after 2 straight weeks of rain so I suppose it was due to that. We had dinner at the Russian Mule, it was delicious and the owners very warm and friendly. The hike nearby (Red Hill fire tower) was amazing

Our stay was so nice. The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. Shower was amazing as well. The water was very hot (of course adjustable) but I love hot showers, so that was great!

The room was great except for the really short toilet and the air conditioner was too loud to run. Would recommend staying here.

UNFORGIVABLE - LOCKED OUT OF MY ROOM
The girl on the phone, Kianna, assured me I would be able to come in late, after the office closed at 9pm. (What motel closes their office at 9pm on a Saturday night??!!?!) She said room #2 would be open and the key inside. But… THE DOOR WAS LOCKED when I got there at 12am. The lights were off and the curtains drawn. The next room had lights on and a key visible on the dresser, but that door was locked too. There is NO CELL SERVICE in this area so I couldn’t even look for a room somewhere else. So after working all day at an event in the Catskills, I had to sleep in my car until daylight. Unforgivable. They say this is an “event venue” as well as an inn - they can’t even let their guests into rooms that are paid for, I can only imagine how they would ruin someone’s wedding. Oh and they DONT ANSWER THE PHONE not even now, 8:30am the next morning, so who knows when I’ll be able to reach someone to now start the process of trying to get my money back. Lazy, incompetent, INHOSPITABLE.

Hello Melissa,I am so sorry about this terrible mix up. Your room was left open for you but was inadvertently taken by a different guest by accident. As we are a small business we do not have staff onsite 24/7, so no one was available to answer your calls. If you would have messaged on this site we would have responded a lot sooner. We do take pride in our event venue and property and have successfully hosted dozens of weddings and events and have never ruined anyones wedding or special day. Again we do apologize and a full refund has been issued for this inconvenience.

My husband and I stayed at Blue Hill as a base for attending a wedding in Woodridge . The room was clean, and there was a bar fridge, which I wish had been itemized in the hotel listing. This is a great feature when you know about it in advance. We had dinner at the Russian Mule Restaurant on the first night and were very happy with the tasty veggie burgers. The staff was very friendly.
