Such a characterful hotel and beautiful location, we thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay here. Walking around the old city of Chur at night felt so safe and we enjoyed window shopping at the exquisite stores. The buffet breakfast at the hotel was particularly nice.

sorry, if you book a budget room, it will be smaller than a comfort room. We have a nice, little bar opposite the reception desk for coffee etc.If guest ask, they can have a kettle from us.....

This hotel is in the heart of the old town and walking distance to all the sights and lots of restaurants. We had the buffet breakfast and it was good except for the scrambled eggs which were dry and rubbery. It is also close to the churches so if the bells are a concern to your ability to sleep closing the window keeps the sound out. They ring all night as well as all day.

Zufriedene "Wiederholungstäter"
Wir waren nun schon zum dritten Mal in diesem Hotel und kommen bestimmt wieder gerne. Doch diesmal hatten wir ein etwas älteres Zimmer im über einen Übergang verbundenen Hausteil erhalten. Dadurch vermissten wir das schöne Badezimmer. Zudem haben wir heute erfahren, dass das Hotel wohl auch eigene Parkplätze inklusive Lademöglichkeit hat. Davon hatten wir bislang noch keine Kenntnisse erhalten. Gerne werden wir uns bei unserem nächsten Besuch wieder ein Zimmer im Hauptgebäude und wohl auch einen dieser Parkplätze reservieren.

I had a fantastic experience at the hotel as a base for skiing in Lenzerheide. It is very easy walking from Bahnhof. The ski bus stop is just four minutes away. It is an historic old hotel with modern renovations. Very clean and comfortable. Staff are great. Breakfast ample with great options. There is a pleasant vibe here. Nice restaurants nearby like Capricorn and Drei Bunde. It’s in the heart of the charming altstadt. I would absolutely stay here again. It exceeded my expectations in all ways. The price was a great value. Thank you.

Great little hotel! Extremely helpful staff - there was an issue with our room (not the hotels fault) and when we asked to change rooms, it was zero fuss. Aside from the excellent service, the hotel sits in a lovely part of mthe old town and is perfect for a stay to meet the Bernina Express. The included breakfast was also excellent!

The property is in a nice quiet part of old Chur and the Christmas lighting is amazing. Staff is super helpful, they got us a Chur visitor card which helped get a discount to Bambruesch for skiing lift. Good dining options and of course the proximity to Rhaetian railway for the Chur to Tirano journey through snow capped peaks.

The front staff at the hotel was very helpful. The building dates from the 1500s and has a warm, cozy feel to it. We appreciated the quiet in the evenings and at night we were able to get a good night's sleep. The location is very accessible and within a reasonable distance from the train station. It is centrally located within shops and restaurants and buildings of interest including a cathedral and Roman ruins. The view from our room of the mountains and clock tower was a bonus. We would definitely stay at the Ambiente Hotel Freieck again.

This property was pretty close to the railway station, which allowed us to pass many lovely shopping options on the way to, and from the hotel. The hotel was charming, and the room was lovely, and stylishly decorated.

Zum zweiten Mal sehr begeistert!
Wir kamen als "Wiederholungstäter". Vor etwa zwei Jahren waren wir schon mal im Hotel Freieck und haben unseren Aufenthalt damals hier sehr genossen. So war für uns diesmal klar, wir kommen hierher zurück. - Und wir wurden nicht enttäuscht! Es war wiederum sehr angenehm und erholsam, hier zu übernachten. Wir haben unsere zwei Nächte in diesem sehr zentral gelegenen, schönen Hotel sehr genossen!

What a great place! I wasn't expecting such nice upgrades to such an old building. Room was clean and comfortable. I loved the lighting in the bathroom. Located an easy walk from the train station and is in the middle of old town. I absolutely recommend this hotel.
