"The owner met us to check us in, but returned that evening while we were eating. Having interrupted the meal he wanted 300euros in cash as a deposit. He said he'd return next day. However, by then we realised that the downstairs toilet and drains were blocked as were 2 of the upstairs showers. There was no hot water in some. "This was the type of property we were looking for. This was a trip with my wife and me and our 4 adult children. We loved the location away from crowds but close enough to get to every where in Umbria for day trips. If you are traveling in the summer, just be aware there is no air conditioning.
